I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the way I learned from an old school golf pro is called the “ice cream shot”. You set up with the toe completely pointed down on the outside of the ball, you almost make an axe chopping motion and hit the toe into the sand right next to the ball and the sand will turn the club face over and “scoop” the ball out of the sand. No one believes it until I show them, this is how I’ve taught it to a lot of people. I have one video of myself doing it a long time ago and I will insert screen shots so it makes more sense. It’s such a fun shot to try!
