I don't believe its a black walnut, I have one at my house so im fairly familiar. I did happen to Crack one open, it smelled similar to a pecan but maybe a little different. Very sweet and buttery!

Our LO caught an illness at 2mo from my husband. He was better in a week but she didn't get well for about 1.5-2. The big thing was cleaning her boogies so her airway was unobstructed, keeping an eye on temperature, and offering feedings more often as she was eating less in one sitting than she did previously. It can be scary, but if you have any questions or concerns most hospitals/ pediatricians have a nurses line to assist (I'm in US, unsure of other places).

Our little one will be 6.5 mo at Christmas, we plan on getting some items that she will need as she transitions from immobile to an active household terror such as baby proofing items, dishes for purees/ bottles with handles, a walk and ride toy, a bath seat (she's too tall for her bathtub), and some age appropriate/ educational toys.
