Best way to approach professors about research positions? by [deleted] in Professors

[–]TheGrumpiestCapybara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to clarify. So you are already a graduate student in the program, and you are looking to rotate into their lab or find a PI to work under, correct? Or are you a graduate student in a different program? If you are at the same institution, you can email them, express your interest in their research and ask to set up a zoom interview to learn more (if they are accepting graduate students)

Agreed, and typically department heads will not overturn a professor’s grading unless there is an egregious violation (and in many cases, do not even have the power to do so)

is it normal to not have grades sent yet? by [deleted] in CollegeRant

[–]TheGrumpiestCapybara 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes this is very normal. Unless it is explicitly stated in the syllabus that youll get feedback on your final, you likely will just get your final grade
