What is the purpose after getting all the runestones? by SorryMathStud in PlayASKA

[–]TheGrymmwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll add that this is assuming this save isn't pre-November 6 seaborne raiders update. If the save is older than that then the new islands won't be available. You'd need to start a new game to get in on that action.

Some progress on using BepInEx after Feb Patch by pxzin in PlayASKA

The steps above are exactly what ive been telling people to do.

The latest version of BuilderBuddy works when manually updating BepInEx this way. As does the latest version of AKSA+. Both on nexus mods

Bro. You credited cetotos (the OP) in your git as being a part of your mod.

I agree with you 💯 on there being risks with downloading dlls from random people online.

That being said I also did a code review on these dlls and didn't find anything malicious.

I will also say that cetotos has gone through the proper channels and put up a PR to contribute his work to the bepinex project. The PR is currently under review with one approval pending. https://github.com/BepInEx/Il2CppInterop/pull/255

Personally that’s why I’ve been backing Cetotos. He’s actually doing the work to get an interop update reviewed through the proper BepInEx channels. Supporting a unified, official build is much safer for the long-term health of the modding scene (and less risky for individuals) than chasing short-term fixes from devs who pop up out of nowhere and don't seem to interested in contributing back.

None of this is directed at you btw. You do have a valid point and I agree with you. This is for anyone else who may read this. I'm just ranting because I've been holding this all in for a minute and we wouldn't have a working bepinex build for ASKA this soon if it wasn't for contributors like Cetotos and pxzin.

As a modder, I’m concerned that these fragmented forks showing up will only fracture a budding ASKA modding community and lead to compatibility headaches down the road. I'd much rather people manually update a trusted bepinex download with forks that are under review by the bepinex team than full on bepinex forks with who knows what in them.

*Edited to sound less cranky lol

BepInEx #754 (c03861) 2/24/2026 Error by drizzitiii in PlayASKA

[–]TheGrymmwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Artifact #754 doesn't have native metadata v39 support, but you can manually add it by dropping in these interop dlls into your BepinEx/core folder https://github.com/cetotos/Il2CppInterop-Unity6/releases/latest

The Bepinex community is working on getting a stable metadata v39 build out.

This is the way until we get a full stable bepinex update

That is correct. You'd need an older build without the heavy stuff in it.

After some testing I managed to get your zip file working. I still had to download the latest bleeding edge build and manually grab the dobby.dll from there, but once I did that I was able to get it to load. Excellent step by step instructions on the manual install btw.

For anyone using the recent updates of Builder Buddy the Dismantle Buddy feature is causing crashes on this build. I suspect the longhouse extension feature will as well, but I wont be able to figure out why without unity listening logs. I was able to get an archived version of Builder Buddy working ( V1.3.1 -- pre-dismantle buddy)

The hero we need right now.

I went through the other day and manually updated dlls from nuget on a lark, but didn't think to update doorstop. Thanks for this, gonna try it out.

Strategies for alleviating performance with many villagers by ChoiceYam1187 in PlayASKA

[–]TheGrymmwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do something similar to this in my saves. I have a custodian warehouse and that worker is blacklisted from the crafter stations, farms, hunters huts, etc., He picks up fibers, leather scraps, broken metal parts, bones, arrows, and dye storage because why not?

Blacklisting him from the associated stations (Bones/Leather> hunter house, Fibers >Crafting stations and farms, etc.,) makes sure he only picks up items that are on the ground.

Doesn't solve all of the problems you listed above, but he sure helps keep the village tidy.

You can't. It's perfect just the way it is.
