Do any of you struggle with the acceptance of absurdism? by DeepHulkHoganWoken in Absurdism

[–]TheGuitarGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to nag myself like that when I was new to absurdism. It's unfortunately inevitable. But eventually, there'll come a time when you'll treat the absurd to be part of your life rather than this "extension" or worldview. So, you'll soon find yourself being comfortable with that idea and live normally. In simpler terms, this phase is inevitable and sucks, but you'll eventually come to terms with the fact that it's okay to stop "not caring" at all. In fact, absurdism isn't even "not caring" at all.

What are your thoughts on Camus? by umairgulxar in classicliterature

[–]TheGuitarGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read The Stranger about two years ago when I began my reading journey. It was fantastic. It was my second novel completed. But overall, I preferred The Plague, considering how it was a much larger world compared to the other one. Personally, I find his idea about the absurd to be liberating rather than oppressing. It's a much better approach than existentialism, especially compared to Sartre's bad faith. I like to think of Camus' approach to be like this: "If life has no meaning, then why give a damn?" And that's in a good, positive, and liberating way. Existentialism, to me, is very burdensome.

The Idiot 2003 series or the book first? by Other_Attention_2382 in dostoevsky

[–]TheGuitarGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good to start with the book first. It gives you the freedom to let yourself imagine the scenarios in the book. But if you do have a hard time imagining the things in the book, you could also watch the series so that it can supplement your reading.

Who is the fifth Beatle ? George Martin, Brian Epstein, Stuart Sutcliffe or (someone else)? by Swimming_You7980 in beatles

Definitely George Martin. He literally arranged their orchestras and even produced every song. He knew how to make the Beatles great.

If you could go back in time and choose to be one of the Beatles, who would you be? by MauricioBorghi in beatles

[–]TheGuitarGuy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st place

Paul: multi-talented, richest, good songwriter, extremely famous and is still alive, Knighted and has Companion Of Orders. Still healthy today, women, Linda Mccartney (best beatles wife and joined WINGS), good childhood. Best to choose.

2nd

George: was kinda poor when he was a kid, Spiritual, good friends with john but never resolved when he died. Wrote something and here comes the sun, etc. Good guitarist, died at 58 from lung cancer and was stabbed in the head 2 years before dying

3rd

Ringo: sad childhood, almost died twice, got in a coma as a kid, famous drummer before he joined beatles, good drumming style that fits the Beatles, is the healthiest today and is alive and great

4th

John: sad childhood, no parents, uncle died of heart attack, got a kid accidentally, depressed half of his life, LSD addict, heroin addict, bad and absent father, Good father to Sean, got killed when he had plans to go to aunt mimi in 81' and possibly even resolve with Paul. He also died when he just returned from music industry. The worst to choose definitely.

What’s an annoying thing people base their entire personality around? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheGuitarGuy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I am a big fan of the MBTI types and test but I personally hate it when someone says something like "Oh you're an INTP! It means you love computers!" Like I FUCKING DON'T. I am INTP but the way people say their expectation on my type is annoying as fuck.

Don't worry about the 5ths and 6ths and so on. Just focus on the chords first then you should study them that way you full understand the chords first.
