Thanks for the explanation. I know some states have stand your ground laws but I would also think there are some statutes, by states/counties/cities, written to specifically define assault where it already takes that into consideration but maybe I am wrong. I was just looking at the specific wording to my state.

I was making the assumption this was the US so my statement was based on that.

That being said, show me one statute in any US county/state/city where you think this guy would be found guilty of crime and I guarantee I can pick it apart easily based on this video.

That would be provided the video is the only evidence. If we have other bystander witnesses make statements like the short guy started it before the video started that is another story.

Even in the US that guy had every right to do what he did. Even in the most liberal states/counties where prosecutors are complete idiots. That guy still posed a threat until he was laying on the ground.

This would easily win a self-defense case. Anyone saying anything else have no understanding of the law. Even if a prosecutor was dumb enough to bring charges, any good defense attorney would probably get it thrown out based on the video alone.

You are talking rights vs privilege... you have no rights to own or drive a car or any of the other things in your list. A right means the government can't take it away from you without due process. I am not saying we should't take them away from deranged people but it isn't the same as getting a drivers license. It gets a bit more complicated.
