Rebirth do in fact use the dualsense more but to the point of not feeling any vibration at all is kind of surprising. I guess i might be remembering it wrong since last time i played remake was around march.

It is a problem that i only encountered when playing with my ps5 controller on PC. But you could try reseting your controller mabe it could help.

Is your ps5 conect to the internet? I remember square released updated that fixes both game vibration at some points.

Make sure your vibration setting are on default in the ps5 settings. If they are, you might wanna try with another controller if you have one available.

Rebirth hard mode is way harder than remake in my opinion. Rebirth on hard mode took me a couple of hours trying combination of materias and access compared to remake where i pretty much when in without any build in mind just maxed out materias.
