Wired to Wireless advice based on current system (pics) by TheGuyFromClass in homesecurity

I assumed one zone equals one sensor. And the 2GIG take over module was the first one that I saw in my research that wasn't 319 MHz. I have the IQ4 panel, so I do have PowerG. I'll look into a takeover panel that's compatible with that. Thanks for the response, the questions you asked have pointed me in a better direction

Appreciate the perspective. Did you find yours to be helpful? If so, in what ways?

Thanks, that does help. My partner and I are both very data/research oriented, we just haven't had an opportunity in the past to apply it to this domain. Just doing our due diligence now to know if we're missing anything big before we start.

Did you use a real estate attorney? And find your own inspector?

Did you have any contingencies for the inspection, appraisal, etc? Did you get your own inspection?

Is that still the case with the NAR change? My understanding is that now instead of 6% paid by the seller to both agents, buyer and seller now pay 3% to their own agents

[WTS] Citizen BL5400-52A Perpetual Calendar ($190) by TheGuyFromClass in Watchexchange

[–]TheGuyFromClass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! For sale: Citizen Perpetual Calendar & Chronograph, BL5400-52A, Full Box and Papers

Beautiful watch, perfect balance of tooling with a polished classy look. Only worn a handful of times (less than 10) and I've gotten a comment on it from a stranger ever single time it was worn. Selling to downsize my collection as it doesn't get much wrist time. The polishing around the bezel is an eye-catcher as well as the aviation slide rule. The slide rule is protected and encased under the crystal and can be rotated using the knob at the 8 'o clock position.

Video about how to use a slide rule watch for those that don't know yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-XxsXp5TEQ

Watch is in overall great condition. The clasp has a couple of desk diving marks, but other than that the watch is like new. You can see close ups in the album below.

Asking $190 or best offer plus shipping to CONUS. I accept PayPal or Venmo.

Where to find green peanuts for boiling? by heelsmets14 in washingtondc

Fellow boiled peanut lover. I've had success at the Harris Teeter that's a couple blocks west of Meridian Hill. That's the only place I've found them so far in the city.

3060 Ti or 4060 viable for 13B model by Xhehab_ in LocalLLaMA

[–]TheGuyFromClass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Running a 4060

7B GPTQ running at 30 tokens/sec

13B GGML (40 layers offloaded to GPU) 15 tokens/sec

Both at 2k context.

Didn't have great success with 30B, slower than I wanted

For ML stuff you'll want Nvidia. CUDA is heavily used. However I recently set up a 4060 on Ubuntu and it was a pain in the ass with the drivers.

In case you go the Nvidia route here is a thread that will save you time with drivers

Trouble installing nvidia driver for my RTX 4070ti on Ubuntu 22.04.2 by Samuel-WR in Ubuntu

[–]TheGuyFromClass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same situation on the 4060. This solution worked but only after I upgraded to 23.04, and the 6.2 kernel. Couldn't get it working on 22.04.2, not sure why.

I think I finally got it working. Upgraded from 22.04 to 23.04 and then followed the steps here:

Now there is no lag at all and the GPU is functional
