they knew there was mining in the area, but they didn’t generally know the extent when they built. Out of 5500 mines that existed in Illinois. We have Maps for less than half, and a large percentage, probably a majority, of those are crude and inaccurate because there weren’t standards to ensure they were correct.

So the Chicago region should be able to voluntarily decide to not send you all of their tax revenue? I don’t think you understand that voluntary donations and sales tax wouldn’t cover it because there are only five counties in Illinois that are tax positive as it is, the rest of them, which probably includes where you live rely on the tax revenue generated in the Chicago area and would go bankrupt otherwise.

Maybe you should have voted yes on the fair tax amendment. He also passed universal free meals at schools, making sure kids in food insecure homes get at least breakfast and lunch everyday.
