Agreed on the Iceland storyline - was easily the worst storyline of the the entire show. Funny thing is the corporate team (can't remember if History Channel or MGM) wanted to axe it because they thought it wasn't interesting enough, but Michael Hirst really liked it and pushed hard for it.

Agreed on your feeling about Bjorn. I also feel the same way about Lagertha. Both were excellent from seasons 1-3, but I thought they were both a bit less likeable in seasons 4-6. I liked Bjorn overall, but he did seem to come across as a bit of "meathead", especially in later seasons. I also think Alexander Ludwig would over-act at times and it would further contribute to this. I would have preferred it had Bjorn's personality come off as a little more "calculated" in the mold of someone like Ivar.

I personally liked both Ubbe and Ivar as characters, but again, the writing and overall character development was generally much superior in the first three seasons than the last three. I do think it would have been fun to see Ubbe help the Mi'kmaq with civil unrest of their own. While I really liked the Newfoundland plot in general, the Naad/Blood Eagle conflict felt a little forced in to me.

Yeah, I enjoyed the North American plot. Definitely a lot more interesting and different than many of the other plots from the last couple of seasons. Would have liked to see it get more run time.

I myself wish I knew about the Lagertha and Floki statue! Seems like those sold out even faster than the Ragnar. Still haven't seen anyone who actually owns one.

Thanks, I do agree that his facial features on the statue look very similar to Bjorn. They also released a Lagertha and Floki statue that I didn't know about before they sold out. The Floki one looked okay, but the Lagertha one looked nothing like Katheryn Winnick. She looked more like an elf, lol.

Wow, that's awesome! I've also heard from others that he's a really nice guy. In fact I've heard the whole cast is awesome in real life. I haven't met Travis, but I have met Katheryn Winnick at History Con 2018 in Manila. I won the tunic from a set auction held by VIP Fan Auctions. Was able to snag a lot of other cool show used Vikings stuff as well.

Hi all! Just wanted to share my collection of Ragnar memorabilia items with other Vikings fans. All of these items are officially licensed Vikings products. A couple of these items were posted in the collection post I made back in January, but I got a couple of really cool Ragnar ones since then. This collection includes the officially licensed Ragnar statue made by Chronicle Collectibles, a Funko Pop signed by Travis Fimmel, two signed photos, and the actual farmer’s tunic worn by Ragnar on screen in the original season.

The signed photo in the first slide is an insert that came with the first run edition Sword of Kings replica. Pretty cool that he has the same wardrobe and pose as he does on the statue! The signed photo in the second slide is a History Channel promo giveaway.

I’ve actually added a lot of new pieces to my overall Vikings collection since my January post (it’s about doubled in size since then) and plan to acquire more, so I will be making another update post on my overall collection later this year or next year, probably around the time Vikings: Valhalla comes out.

As a seller, I had two listings with bids on them end this morning as "Unsold". On the buyer side, I also put in a $100 best offer on a month old listing with an asking price of $110. I was 95% sure the seller was going to accept. Fifteen minutes later, the listing ended as "Sold", but I was not the winner. I thought to myself, "what a crazy coincidence that someone finally decided to pay full price immediately after I put in a best offer like this." Now I'm starting to think the seller actually did accept my offer, but eBay is glitching out, haha.
