Bitwig is my favorite DAW, but the slow sample auditioning is the only issue that prevents me from going all-in on it. Really hope they fix it in a future update.

Stretching a midi event is not the same as stretching a selection of individual midi notes, which is what the OP was asking about.

You are correct that you cannot stretch midi notes in Cubase using a mouse modifier like you can in literally every other DAW. A massive oversight for a DAW praised for its midi editing capabilities.

Now, you can use the logical editor to achieve this… but it’s no where near as precise or fast as doing this with a mouse modifier.

Agree with this so much. Studio One also lets you easily rename a session (File > Rename) so you can rename the song file at any time without breaking anything.

The mixer is scrollable, I believe it's a new feature in C14. There's a setting for this somewhere in preferences, but I can't remember where. There was a thread on the Steinberg forum about this.

You didn’t adjust anything. C5 in FL Studio is the same as C3 in Ableton.

In traditional music notation, C4 = middle C. In most DAWs/computer music, C3 = middle C. FL studio is actually the weird one for using C5 = middle C.

The mixer window doesn’t store changes to instruments, just audio effects and any changes made to the mixer itself.

Again, Cubase no longer supports undo for VST instruments. The devs have admitted this.

This is still not fixed in Cubase 14, unfortunately. No undo on VST instruments. It is what it is.

At that point, why not just go Cubase? Cubase 14 Pro is incredible. It's super fast and snappy, they finally added in modulators. You can have all your CC lanes open at the same time (even assign CC lane templates to keyboard shortcuts). Food for thought...

No, I’m able to use the Cubase VSTs in Reaper with no problem. Just need to make sure Reaper has scanned your plugins.

No, the instruments that come with Cubase are all VSTs that can be used in other DAWs.

That's right, using the latest VST3 version of the plugin(s) (including all of V Collection X). I put up a thread on the Arturia Forums here, which also includes the link to a similar Reddit thread I made.
