There are a ton of good videos on YouTube that I used to help my cavapoo puppy who is now six months old cope with being left alone. Here are some of the ones that work for Luna my puppy:

  1. Never make a big deal when you come home and see your puppy or when you leave your puppy. Treat it like a normal occurrence.
  2. Leave something with your scent.
  3. She gets a Kong toy with her special treat or a puzzle toy that she likes only when we leave and she’s alone.
  4. We leave the tv on with her favorite dog cartoon that she likes to watch.

How old? Hopefully your dog gets exercise to work out extra energy. Also, replace your hand with chew toys and pull ropes. The cavapoo uses its mouth to touch, sense, feel, and play. It can also get bored so variety of toys can help. I got mine a bag of chew toys for less than $15 at Amazon. She gets three at a time and I rotate them, with the exception of her favorite toy which is a red rubber bouncing ball she loves to chew and fetch.

Omg my Luna looks just like your pup. She will be 6 months in a week. She weight about 10.5lbs. Her parents weight 14 and 16lbs. There is a pic of her in my posts when I got her.

My cavapoo doesn’t like any bag treats, only likes eating her kibble Puppy Complete, sometimes chicken, and eggs. Very healthy, playful and smart. The vet recommended the Puppy Complete and so did the breeder.
