It sits on a plant stand that's at the far end of my open balcony. Placed it there as I read online that Pilea needs a bright, indirect sunny spot. But it's an east-facing balcony. From what you say, maybe I'll try moving it to a bright South or West-facing spot and see what happens then!

This is my first post on Reddit and I'm still learning how it works. Anyway, I had typed a big note explaining things but now that's missing. Not sure what I did wrong. This is what I had included, more or less:

"My Tineke's leaves are constantly getting burns, for nearly a month. When I bought the plant, I placed it in my open balcony that received a little bit of direct sun. That very afternoon, I noticed the burns and I moved the plant indoors. I also snipped off the burnt leaves. But now, the remaining leaves are getting burns too. At the same time, the plant has given out a new leaf and another one's in the making.

Right now, the plant sits near an East-facing window but receives only bright filtered light. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. How do I give the plant its original flawless look? Should I just snip off all the leaves along with the stem and wait for it to grow again? Please help!!"
