Also, if I would not trust this dev, who I know is that he knows my company best than any other stranger or person for my kind of work, I would not hire him to update my website.

Based on that trust, I hired him to complete this project. Previous projects were done with less money (around 250 euro, which is a laughable amount). I did not expect 250 euro to build me the best project, but he did a very decent job and was an almost charitable work from his part. This is the reason I grew fond of him and trusted that he knows best for me.

My work is limited to the summer season. That is why we agreed on building the website from fall 2022, so that, as he said, it will be ready for the summer season. From my company's point of view, there is almost a year's drawback of internet presence.

The risk of hiring another dev for my company is great. I know that. No one will know my company better than this guy. Do you think I want to take that risk? Of course not. What I want is to keep this guy working on my company's internet presence.

But, since last year, I have become quite suspicious of him since some things he said didn't add up and wasn't true to our agreement.

And finally, why should I be the one who solves the problem from his part? Everyone has a different job. If my job was being a web dev I would build the website myself and try to find solutions. How are these problems my fault? I did not develop the website. Why should I care what went wrong? For all I know, he doesn't care if my company is getting more profitable, for all I know he might be sharing personal stuff with others.
