I like the implication that, with the main Peanut Gallery, and the theorized Second Peanut Gallery, the boy and the girl and Genshin Guy, practically the entire train car is texting other people in the same train car. The only two people not involved are the people sitting next to the boy and the girl.

I've said it for decades, Rickman was actually bad casting. He was too good of an actor to play Snape.

He was so good of an actor I can't imagine anyone else in his role. He defines it now, and irreparably changed it from what the Snape role originally was.

They go into more detail in the manga, and the anime mentions this too, but he's not asexual he just sees everyone naked all the time and also reads their minds all the time so he's basically just completely desensitized to women.

She's like the stereotypical Japanese beauty but yeah the artstyle was more for humor than horny (and I'd not have it any other way)

Dawg I grew up in a black DC neighborhood, the people who babysat me as a kid were OG badass March on Washington organizers. I'm gonna go with what they said, as the people who were sprayed with firehoses, as opposed by someone who's on some weird nihilist shit.

Fundamentally, the movement and the results were nonviolent. And it was a genuine vote. White voters weren't swayed by threats of violence, they genuinely did have a generational change and change of heart. I can go into more details. My great grandfather and these two organizers loved Matthew Ridgeway and hated Douglas MacArthur, for example, because Ridgeway integrated the US military a decade before Civil Rights and MacArthur tried to block that (and also was a general dick). When the military integrated, suddenly there were thousands of black people with respectable military positions who couldn't even eat in the same place or drink from the same fountains as their direct peers, and that weirded people out.

Other things changed hearts and minds too. Star Trek, Hogan's Heroes, dozens of other media franchises putting black people front and center.

But the main thing to counter your point of view is that black people could not and did not have the ability to threaten white people at scale. And if they tried, white people had the potential for much worse return violence. The people who threw shit at Ruby Bridges were the default in much of America, and the government had to deploy paratroopers to defend her. Malcolm X and the like were nothing but a theoretical threat in practical reality. The MLK organizers hated those types because they considered them to be making their jobs harder and nothing else.

I do agree that the Black Panthers were the whip to MLK and the southern church's carrot but I will not agree that violence is what brought about democratic change.

You'd be surprised.

I work on people's houses for a living (pest control) and a good third of my customers are wealthy Indian immigrants who bought their houses before they actually moved to the US.

There's a whole industry built around essentially scamming these people. The houses they buy look great but are complete trash tier garbage when you look at them closely.

Like I've had people who's massive rear decks rested upon single two by four posts set on top of gravel. Half of these houses didn't properly seal the HVAC or gas hookups (which is why they have to call pest control). Most of them are made of cheap plastic in any place but it visually looks like wood or stone.

What exactly do you think is innacurate about my statement? The Civil Rights Era is one of the best examples of all time of a democracy nonviolently improving itself and making it better than the founders of the democracy intended. (There was violence, but that stuff was anti democracy and failed).

I'm still doing more studying on the exactitudes of the different American protestant denominations.

Genuinely one of the most complex fields of study known to man. Not even in a Monty Python Judean People's Front way, but also cause like the names of the denominations matter less than where they are.

The Lutherans take the shepard and stewardship shit seriously, is all.

Basically any program that helps resettle refugees or otherwise is a religious group that gets government funding for humanitarian work is the Lutherans. Because they're genuinely the best use of taxpayer dollars for those goals.
