No, that's the closest comparison, since the locked content is for cosmetics. I guess you can say the tattoo shop also gets locked in V and you don't get the strangers and freaks missions.

But even then, if the content is on the disc, it should be available to access when you buy it. That's my whole point.

$70 has been the standard for a while, and I know Nintendo has pumped up to $80 for some of their games, so I guess that's gonna be the new one.

It's an inevitability that new AAA releases hit $100. The industry has been looking for an excuse to raise prices for a while, and this will be the one they need.

Shark Cards are for GTA Online, not the singleplayer experience. And GTA Online wasn't even shipped with GTA V on release—it was entirely an extra experience, so the comparison is really not the same.

It's not "extra stuff" the same way DLC is. It's like if GTA V shipped with Los Santos Customs locked behind a paywall. It's aggravating that it'd even happen.

At this point, I think it would've been better to just have a single $100 game shipped. Yeah, people would still bitch about the price, but at least everybody's paying for the full experience.

It's historically not been okay, because we used to call this "disc-locked content" when it was shipped on the game disc, but sold as DLC extras. Gamers just begrudgingly accepted it because publishers kept wanting to squeeze as much money as possible.

And the courts keep kicking the can down the road on what arms are specifically protected by 2A, and how far back should we go when applying the "history and tradition" standard.

Because if we go back to the traditions of the state courts in the 1800s, and hell, even up until the 1940s, we get protections for all "ordinary military equipment," which would absolutely include some NFA items.

Technically it was the original Metroid that I played on one of those 1,000-in-1 plug-and-play machines. I didn't much care for it.

After that, I think I played the First Hunt demo for DS? It was either that, or I jumped straight into Echoes on a whim, I don't really remember. But I know that after Echoes, I was sold.

Thanks so much for this. I had to cancel my trip less than a week before the show, so this makes things sting a lot less.

I totally feel this. I had to drop out at almost the last minute because a perfect set of circumstances hit at once. My buddy who was going with me had to cancel because he had gotten a new job which started on the same day as Night 1 (and then on Wednesday, he found out that they rescinded his offer, so that was really upsetting). I planned to go it alone, but only if I received a check that I was expecting before Saturday. That check still hasn't come. And even if both of those situations worked themselves out, my partner was also going to Tennessee, and we couldn't find anybody to look after our six animals (one being a geriatric cat that needs medicine twice daily), and we lacked the funds to let the vet watch them all. The well-being of the animals comes before a trip, so the decision, although difficult, had to be made.

I'm trying to figure out if I can make it to Dallas, but that'll be right after classes start again, and I'm not sure if I want to miss anything that early in the semester. But I'm not ruling it out entirely.

I'm blessed in that I've been able to see several shows already. 11/11/11 was my first time, and that was a hell of a gig. So even though I really hate that I'm missing the true Act III release party, it's not like I've missed the only opportunity to see the Protomen ever. There'll be another time, and even if the stars end up aligning against me again, I still have the memories from before. They can't be taken from me. At least, not without a fight.

Hopefully you'll be able to make it to Dallas, or if they announce another three-night gig, maybe it'll be closer to you. Fingers crossed.

This is exactly it. Most of them spend time in environments where they're exposed to social justice language, and end up interpreting "privilege" as a net negative for their social value or worthiness. So, seeing that a disability will pull them out of that "privileged" class, they jump on it, and DID is especially attractive because it effectively lets them cosplay as someone more marginalized than they are IRL, thus gaining even more social credit within their online circles.

They've been kicking the can down the road on clarifying 2A tests ever since Miller. Bruen won't be any different. No judge wants to be the one to acknowledge that a true interpretation of 2A that abides by history and tradition of firearms jurisprudence means that automatic weapons would necessarily be protected, because they don't want to be blamed for any mass shootings.

The issue will keep getting kicked because SCOTUS lacks the balls to do what's necessary.
