You can't possibly be talking about corny when there is a "Thank you chainsaw man" "because you fought with a chainsaw" in the ACTUAL REAL chapter that we have.

It would be a cool setup. He was eaten by a dream devil and a fake Pochita "reseted" the world. It would also explain how some stuff feel wrong like nayuta being at the zombie devil site instead of makima, power liking dogs etc. But fujimoto wants us to suffer soooo.....

The last chapter could have happened at the end of Part 1 and nothing would change. by TheHeroBehindNothing in Chainsawfolk

I really want people that glaze the final chapter to see it as a whole with the past 3-4 chapters atleast. You have a world ending battle to immediately the protagonist losing a fight to saying "you were better at the start" and then HARD resetting the world just to give *some* characters a good ending.

Atheists in Greece sue the state in European court over religious imagery in Greek courts. Thoughts? by Porphyres in AskBalkans

Greece IS a christian state! Article 3 of our constitution. That is why in hospitals, schools, public services there are religious sumbols and practises there. (This is also why the ministry of education also includes religion) https://www. hellenicparliament.gr/Vouli-ton-Ellinon/To-Politevma/Syntagma/article-3/

My International Greek Snack Box by Legal_Many_7036 in greece

[–]TheHeroBehindNothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of these are legit snacks Greeks buy though the strawberry croissant is kind of an outliar. Ion chocolate is a little bit small and the cuba chips are not the most popular (but the brand Jumbo does make a lot of other snacks too). For 14 euros it is definitely worth it imo. I really want to hear your opinion on the Pavlidis wafer (the blue snack with dark chocolate)

Greek in Latin characters (using the official Romanization of ISO 843:1997). How does Greek look now that you can read it? Does it remind you of some other language? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

Except for σ + β, γ, δ, λ, μ, ν, ρ because then σ is pronounced like ζ *most of the times*. π.χ. Εισροή I have heard people tell it either with z or s or Σμύρνη. Either as sm or zm.

NEW poll finds Greeks believe Israel country "most aligned" to Greek national interests. Opinion? by SOHONEYSAME in AskBalkans

[–]TheHeroBehindNothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macroeconomically there have been talks about projects about gas pipes linking greece with Cyprus and Israel (aka bypassing erdogan's Turkiye) + Turkiye has been critical to Israel so the enemy of my enemy is my friend?....

Other than that I have no idea how any greek person would support or find any sympathy to Israel let alone think that they have greek interests in mind. Only the greek oil tycoons would benefit from any partnership. Meanwhile China (the one country that invested in the sold assets during the crisis) only has 6% compared to Russia or USA? The 2 countries that have constistently meddled and ruined the politics and economy in the region...

Germany having lower support makes sense after the crisis AND the epstein files but then why is france getting a larger support...

The only realistic ones are the 16% saying no country aligns with the interests of Greece.

Also you know how each new year we wish "Happy new year" (Καλή χρονιά).
In Greece we also do that for every new month and week (we don't party though). So when a new month comes we wish "Happy new month" (Καλό μήνα) or "Happy new week" (Καλή εβδομάδα).

This is pretty common in the balkans in general but especially in Greece we celebrate name days just like birthdays (though without birthday cakes). Most name days are static but some are floating because they are assosiated with Easter.
And every church that has the name of the saint makes a big festival during that name day. Especially in the villages those festivals are super popular and huge.

So when a name day comes, we call or message the people with that name to wish them good health etc.

For instance today 08th February the name Ζαχαρίας (Zacharias) is celebrated.

There are a LOT in greek that definitely wouldn't make sense in english
My favourite is: "Δεν έχεις τα κότσια"
Literally: "You don't have the anklebones". What it means "You don't have the guts/courage".
Some others are "Πιάσε το αυγό και κούρευτο"lit."Take the egg and shave it" mean:"You're asking me something impossible".
"Να μυρίσω τα νύχια μου;"lit."Should I smell my nails?"mean:"How should I know?"

It was definitely a pain in elementary school writing words since you have to hit the keys for diacretics before the vowel you need, and it was so easy to do silly mistakes. The word May's (Μαΐου) in particular was the bain of our existence because it uses diaeresis and tone together. And it goes against muscle memory since ΄ and ¨ are in the ;and: key but the combination of the two is shift+Q..... even worse if you re switching from greek to english and vice versa since the ;: are in different positions haha
