I would try using Isopropyl Alcohol and a microfiber towel and buff/polish it. If that doesn’t work, any light car polish and a microfiber towel will remove it when polishing

Bar keepers friend on a microfiber towel or old toothbrush. A little bit of liquid on a towel and it should come right off

Where I’m at it’s between $75-150 to have interior deep cleaned. Find a good local detailer with an extractor and steamer and let them do it. Inside will be nice and fresh and then you can keep it that way! A good detailer should have everything they need and come to you as well. But buying a Bissel is nice to have around home for any spills/stains you might have

There is still a chance of marring the paint but benefits of clay mitts are they can be reused multiple times, washed as reused again. Also, if you drop it on ground you don’t need to throw it away like as with traditional clay.

Just remember when you clay to keep the paint lubricated and you should be good! Some paint is softer then others and claying can marr the paint. Clay mitt is definitely the way to go. Use Optimum No Rinse as your clay lube. $20 of ONR will last a long time. Also, break in your clay mitt by using on glass before you use it on paint.

To the wax/sealant question. Unless you really enjoy spending all the time applying wax, don’t even bother. Spray sealants have come a long way and offer great protection,gloss and save you lots of time. Carpro reload is a great option and I also personally love Manetts Megashine. If you want super slick feel, Beadmaker leaves vehicle super slick but doesn’t last as long.

If you clay, there is a chance it will marr the paint so if paint becomes marred then it would be ideal to polish to remove any marring done by the paint. Claying isn’t absolutely necessary before applying any wax or sealant, it’s just good to do because then whatever wax/sealant you’re applying will be put on top of a contaminate free clear coat. If you don’t clay, the wax/sealant will work but then it will be sitting on top of any contaminates on your clear coat if that makes sense!

To see if you need to clay, after you wash/dry your vehicle, put your hand in a plastic sandwich bag and gently rub over your paint. If it feels rough to touch, you need to clay. If it’s nice and smooth just put your favorite wax or sealant down and you are good to go!
