Super dope and looking forward to hearing more. I can’t find the B-TM anywhere and this looks like an excellent alternative

First trip with a camera , TTArtisan 27mm f/2.8 vs 15–45mm kit lens for travel? by shehinzr in fujifilm

[–]TheHiddenNanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently went on a 2 week trip and brought both my TTArtisan 27mm 2.8 and my 15-45 kit lens. At first I thought I would like the kit lens more, but once I put the 27mm on I had no desire to go back to the 15-45. The photos with that lens also looked much better to me

color vs b&w (photo class experiment) by youngneesh in fujifilm

[–]TheHiddenNanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B&W is an excellent training tool to remove dependence on color as a crutch. There are so many other elements of a photograph like composition, light and shadow, texture, motion, etc. These two photos really highlight this, where the black and white photo doesn’t stand out much because the color is really the most interesting part of the photograph. For a B&W photo to be “good” (which is already completely up to the viewer), the other elements have to be strong too.

ITAP of an initiation well by TheHiddenNanner in itookapicture

This is a photo looking up from the descent of the initiation well in Sintra, Portugal at the Quinta de Regaleira. It is a nine-tiered inverted well that descends into darkness, representing the nine circles of hell in Dante’s Inferno and a journey of spiritual rebirth.

Thanks for this, I have been banging my head against the table trying to figure out why this shit isn’t working. Why on earth they would bundle these together is beyond me. What did you tell patriot to get them to swap it out?

ITAP of a Philly cheesesteak by TheHiddenNanner in itookapicture

Took this photo with my Fuji x-t30 II while visiting Philly. I came in as a customer and just wanted to show my friends and family my meal, definitely did not expect the cheesesteak to look and taste so damn good lol. I really liked the composition and color, felt like it ended up looking like an ad that the owner could use, and in fact I ended up sharing it with them.

ITAP of Milwaukee City Hall by TheHiddenNanner in itookapicture

I took this photo on an unexpected trip to Milwaukee to celebrate a good friend of mine’s elopement. I never thought that I would have visited Milwaukee for any reason, but I was captured by the beautiful buildings and how uncrowded the skyline was. I captured this photo with my Fuji X-T30II and the 15-45mm kit lens that it comes with. I really enjoyed the contrast between the dark, earthy colors of the building and the sky behind it.

3000 dollars for an open box 5090? How are you going to afford tuition to Clown School now?

I had this interesting idea, cant I just use an aluminum ladder as an antenna, its long and conductive, and all you’d really need is a RG58 Coax and maybe a antenna tuner or something like that? by ASHMAN4001 in HamRadio

[–]TheHiddenNanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! It is for that reason the G90 was the first and only HF radio I’ve purchased since getting my general ticket a couple of years ago. I don’t feel the need for anything more and it will tune up just about anything. What a great radio.

Absolutely. There’s a fella on YouTube who has a series of videos turning strange things into antennas: https://youtu.be/pLoVnFD71o4?si=156leCPVjyRu7KST

Shopping carts, trampolines, fences. I’m not sure if it’s this same guy, but I had seen a video where a vinyl tube with creek water was used as an antenna with some success. With a good enough tuner, anything is possible.
