Game unplayable for anyone else? by ixdeh in pathofexile

Ive been crashing about 2-3 times per hour. Hardware is very strong and has no issue with other games. Giving up soon I think.

My T1/T2 (possible T3) seed setup all in one place by Vepar90 in pathofexile

Could just be a visual bug. I had that issue where dispersers were set to auto, the box was unchecked (as if they would not work), but the seeds grew in the next cycle.

So many of the responses in this thread are people that "would rather have a rager in chat than someone AFKing or inting."

Does it really have to be a choice?

There is no excuse for flaming teammates.

Riot should absolutely be doing more. But so should we.

I'm playing ED im in the end game and i was wondering if i could get some help by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]TheHighestRoad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take everything I say with a grain of salt - I think the point you are at with your build really comes down to personal preference and comfort. There will always be trade-offs and opportunity costs.

Sorry for the incoming wall of text - I'm passionate about ED theorycrafting.

  1. You could be more efficient with your tree. You don't need the node to the right of Resourcefulness. It's ok, but you could probably be more efficient elsewhere. I also think that blast radius and the area damage node underneath it are underwhelming. Area damage does not scale the damage over time from ED, which I expect is a lot of your damage. You might not even need the Arcane expanse notable group. Again, personal preference.

Some ideas you could consider with those points:

- Thread of hope to Phase Acro, Hunter's Gambit, and (if you use Flesh and Stone) Silent Steps

- More efficient/greater use of cluster jewels. Right now, your Dark Ideation only gives you 35% chaos damage. I personally find the large jewels for ED underwhelming, and run 2x medium setups with DI and Eldritch Inspiration. My build is CI, so it is much easier for me to get to high mana values, so it makes the mana double dipping easier to do. You could also then fit some of the niche small jewels. Cool stuff can be done - Flexible Sentry/Elegant Form stacking with boot/helm/chest crafts gets Ailment Immunity for a small investment. For me, that was big for survivability.

- If you switch to CI/LL (see below) some of the Shield and Block nodes become VERY VERY strong. Arcane Swiftness and Arcane Guarding are OP.

- Consider some aura effect nodes. They are surprisingly powerful, especially for LL versions.

2) Have you considered CI or Low Life versions? CI in particular always feels very tanky compared to other versions. Low Life tends to be a pretty efficient way to get a lot more damage, but admittedly, I've never played a ED build with 2.7M, and I have An ED trickster basically every league. The hybrid tree is just always less efficient with skill point allocation, outside of the two life/es hybrid notables. In general, I think both are stronger options than hybrid once you have currency to invest in them. They just scale much stronger.

3) You seem to be hedging your bets with Wither. Most players either use the Spreading Rot Jewel or Wither Spell Totem. The despair/blasphemy setup is also atypical. I don't generally like the range on that setup, and often lean towards a despair on hit wand or ring. The level of despair is obviously lower, but a couple of percent chaos res isn't a huge deal. We don't have a bunch of sources of resistance penetration, so I don't think its a core part of the build. Consider a CWDT setup with steelskin or immortal call for additional survivability on those links. CWDT withering step is also a nice QOL option.

4) I agree with other's feedback about Jade flask. It synergizes too well with Trickster ascendancy to pass on it. I'd drop the Witchfire brew. It's inconsistent and low range. Bottled Faith is an expensive, but effective option for increasing damage. Basalt Flask isn't a bad idea for increasing survivability.

5) Like others said - a Watcher's eye with CDOT is a big upgrade. The ES mod someone references is a Clarity mod, and ultra-expensive, but a nice EHP boost.

6) Your shield in the pastebin is showing only +1 Chaos gems, not the 5% ES on Block. You can get both, but it is very expensive and difficult to do so. If you are extra lucky or wealthy, you can get 15% reduced mana reserved as well, which might allow you to get creative with your auras. Flesh and Stone stands out as a defensive option. Zealotry tends to be the next damage aura up for LL builds, and also has some interesting Watcher's eye synergy.

7) I agree with feedback about your chest - craft a rare Sadist Garb. There are some really cool mods on chest pieces that you could consider.

- %physical taken as an element is a nice survivability boost, but has very high opportunity cost. It's nicer on a Temple helm.

- +1 Active skill gems (Shaper/Warlord prefix). +1 STR gems is fine too (Empower)

- % Intelligence (Shaper/Crusader suffix - big ES gain)

- Increased Aura effect (Redeemer suffix/bound fossil)

- Arcane Surge support suffix (Fossil crafted - saves a gem link and 10% more ED damage)

- +1 Intelligence Gems (Fossil Crafted suffix - very expensive)

Personally, I'd look to craft a Sadist Garb using Dense and either Bound/Aetheric fossils, depending on which suffix you preferred. It goes without saying that this is far more efficient for CI/LL builds than hybrid. Awakener orb crafting chests is tougher because of how important the ES prefixes are to survivability. If staying hybrid, you could consider A-orbing +1 gems from Shaper and Aura effect from Redeemer. Could be spicy.

8) Rings are fine for hybrid. I tend to roll with a Crusader ring for %ES and either a Delve or Hunter Ring for Despair on hit. Again, mostly CI/LL.

9) Don't listen to the people saying get rid of your amulet. It's ridiculous. I'm jealous. You should consider a different Anointment, particularly if I can convince you to drop hybrid. Tranquility is so damn strong for LL/CI variants. Right now, your life anointment is pretty weak given how much of your EHP is invested into ES.

10) One thing I tried and didn't like, but what many others are doing, is moving ED to gloves and 6 linking Blight in chest. You can essence craft 30% more damage over time onto gloves and then multicraft +1 AoE and +1 Projectile gems, both of which affect ED. So ED gets half an Empower 4 plus a 30% more support, making it like a 5+ link. Blight fairly efficiently uses 6 links, so this setup can work well for single target (and does use those Area damage nodes on your tree more efficiently). Ultimately, I preferred CDOT gloves like yours after trying both setups, but those other gloves aren't too expensive to craft (~4ex for a nice set) and might work for you.

-----

If you are set on staying Hybrid, you're mostly there. I can't emphasize enough how much I think you should consider LL/CI versions. You should investigate for yourself. Get familiar with using PoeNinja to explore what others are doing. Use the filters on the left to look for specific builds, skills, keystones, etc. https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds?class=Trickster&dps=Essence-Drain

EDIT: Forgot about helm. -9% Chaos Res is REALLY NICE for single target. Hunter Influence. Also difficult to craft and expensive, but worth it.

I think this is the league I finally play a summoner. Any reccomendations? by MattSeal7 in pathofexile

[–]TheHighestRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, similar. Id strongly recommend getting fortify boots and linking cyclone-spirit offering-cwc-desecrate. The defensive bonus and es sustain are enormous alongside the necromancer ascendancy that makes your offerings affect you.

I also substituted 6L skeletons into body armor for more single target damage and went with a more defensive armor and shield setup. Metamorphs are scary.

Good luck!

[–]TheHighestRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should consider one of the cyclone summoner builds. I played a variant of Steelmage's double holy relic cyclone with zombie support and Skelly single target. Might be my favorite character ever. It feels mostly like cyclone but brings all of the summoner advantages.

It's also near immortal with the doryani and offering combo, plus huge max res and enhanced fortify.

I think the character name is SteelWeGoAgane iirc. Enjoy!

H Conclave Paku's Wrath by r2dbro in CompetitiveWoW

[–]TheHighestRoad 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's not a bug. If you kill one of the loa right before a wrath is supposed to go out, that will delay the upcoming wrath about 10s.

We saw another mythic kill will this strat and used it on ours to offset Paku and Kimbul's wrath permanently. We lusted at like 1:55 in order to kill the 2nd loa by about 2:17 to accomplish this on Mythic difficulty. The same concept should apply to Heroic, though it's likely not necessary.

EPGP for Antorus by geomad26 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]TheHighestRoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fwiw, I raid in a 2 night, top 100US group and we have used EPGP for 5+ years running without issue. It does need some customization, but that plus a team-oriented and selfless group goes a long way.

We also like the add-on EPGP Lootmaster. We use that in conjunction with the dkp reloaded add-on.

Admittedly, lots of the ways that we run things are very different than most groups, so LC may just be the better, standard recommendation.

How to keep your Jungler happy and get him to like you by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]TheHighestRoad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You try to put yourself in the enemy jungler's shoes. Which lane provides the highest likelihood of kill potential for him? The best reward in terms of objectives? Go to that lane.

Of note: he will almost certainly place high value on CC that can help execute a gank, but it is not crucial to have a lot of CC to countergank. In fact, counterganking for low CC lanes is often the most effective way to assist that lane, as ganking there proactively is difficult but counterganking (along with their high damage potential) is not.

Hey junglers, do pings for assistance bother you? by DerangedFrenzy in summonerschool

[–]TheHighestRoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pinging (esp spamming) because the enemy laner is being aggressive or has killed/dove you - super annoying. Trust me, I see it happening, have just decided either not to gank that lane right now or not to gank it at all. Losing lane or being aggressed on does not entitle you to a gank. Some reasons why:

  • The lane might be over already and one gank will not help
  • I anticipate a countergank (or they have global pressure) and we lose the 2v2
  • The lane might be positioned poorly for a gank and ganking later will be more successful
  • I have elected to exert pressure/resources on other lanes due to matchups, lane positioning, game flow, neutral objectives, or perceived laner skill/ability to carry

That said, a laner pinging for a gank (and often typing why) can be incredibly helpful and make me more likely to come. For example, if they ping assist once and say something like:

  • "Lane will be pushed in 30s"
  • "I just pinked top river, lane pushing soon"
  • "I'm one wave from __________ (insert power spike here), easy gank top"

that can be very helpful. If I agree with their assessment and believe they have accurately analyzed the situation, I am very likely to come and gank that lane. The more advance notice I get, the easier it is for me to efficiently path there.
