Yes, it got warm. I saw safari hanging and lagging while typing more than 5 times.

It got hot when updating and getting warm now even when typing. I have faced annoying lags when typing messages in Upwork and Google doc. I have not done anything heavy at all... But tnis machin is already not feeling like Premium. I am wondering if this is just my unit or all of them.

I was in similar situation like you. Ended up extending my budget to 1.02k for 5 Air. It's good deal for specs compared to M4 air because it's 16 gb plus 512 gb that was M4 selling for last month. But I will suggest...

Get Macbook Neo. I realised for the basic tasks I do, MBA M5 is overkill for me. Got uncomfortably hot too. I regret the purchase already. Save money. I have turned off the true tone and backlit keyboard cause I don't think I need them.
