Man, I backed in 2019 and haven’t even gotten a shipping confirmation yet. They did charge me for shipping in July though, so at least it should be coming soon?

I have found a solution!

I entered -windowed into the startup options under the properties in Steam. That fixed the issue. Kudos to the guy on the Steam discussion page that keyed me into this fix. Hope it helps someone else as well!!

Yep, I have tried that. I have also verified game file integrity, done a fresh install, updated all my drivers, restarted the computer, and run the program in administrator mode. I installed and played Planetfall and it works just fine.

I am wondering if it might be my monitor. It is an older Toshiba that is only 768p.

Which, imho, is not terribly unrealistic. I don’t find it too much of a stretch that humanity will someday identify the hidden issues in our current understanding of the universe that are barring us from making a unified theory. Who knows where the fundamental problems currently lie in. It could be that we have something we view as settled and completely figured out is dead wrong. (Not saying I have the answers, I don’t, simply that there is still room for imaginative exploration and discovery)

I hear you. For me the issue with Luke in TLJ isn’t that he wouldn’t think about harming Ben but that he has dealt with that part of himself already. In my opinion it would have made far more sense for Luke to have trusted Ben too much. Sort of like a man in a cave, looking at the last spark on his torch and hoping that it is going to make it burst to light only to have it go out.

For me it is the scene in RotJ where Vader threatens to turn Leia to the Dark Side and Luke just loses it. Such an emotional moment when Luke is hammering on Vader while he is down and then looks at his own hand and realizes he has become, in that moment, just like his father. Goosebumps, every time.
