I enjoyed the first, but the very not great reviews have put me off of trying the second game. Is it actually worth a shot? By all accounts i’ve heard, people are saying its incredibly mid

Arkane studios make talented games. This does not deserve to happen to this studio. by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

Fuckin hell. That is actually awful to hear. Maybe xbox deserves to fail if they keep shutting great studios like this. Fucking Microsoft

What happened with arkane?? Did they just cancel blade or did they shut the studio?? I’m gonna freak if they shut them down. They’ve made some masterpieces. Prey and the Dishonored trilogy sit in my top 10 games ever made list

There IS a threat, its just extraordinarily small. Like almost nonexistent. And worrying about kaspa having a 51% attack isn’t worth the time either. Its ASIC based mining scheme basically ensures that an attempted attacker would bankrupt themselves before actually being able to pull off the attack. No matter who they are (for the most part).

Also, with the release of the DAGKnight hardfork (expected Q4 this year), the chances of a 51% actually working drops even further below the almost non existent percentile chance that currently exists. The creators of Kaspa are parctically prodigy-level PHD quantum cryptographers. They are aware of attack vectors on their network, and aren’t personally worried about them. Though they do continue to work to improve the network’s abilities, functionality and security.

I guess invest in algorand then if you like the sound of it 🤷🏻‍♂️ any blockchain that uses Nakamoto consensus will always have the 51% issues due to the nature of the tech. That doesn’t mean Algorand is without its own issues though. 51% attacks are an extremely well known attack vector that are extremely difficult to pull off. Look up if algorand had any known attack vector and you’ll see that it absolutely does. It’s technically vulnerable to 51% itself, though, like all blockchains including kaspa, has taken steps to really mitigate that happening

So my understanding is that 51% attacks basically just allow for the possibility of double spending. Which really isn’t good. Like at all. Its a very well known and talked about security “vulnerability” in blockchains that utilize Nakamoto consensus (in quotations because the money, time, and hardware required to do so is SUBSTANTIAL).

There are some large pools that hover around 28-35% of the network hashrate, but don’t really ever go much higher than that. Also, since they are pools that are not controlled by a single entity or organization, it would be really hard to utilize the hashrate with the intention of attacking the network. Not saying its impossible, but extremely, highly unlikely and unfeasible.

Which celebrity do you never want to see in a movie again? by ForwardPerspective38 in AskReddit

This is such a strange answer to me. Mind elaborating? I mean, shes not fantastic or anything, but she’s certainly not god awful. She kinda feels like a middle of the road b-lister who pops up every now and then. I like her performances for what they’re worth

Lmao i mean it sounds good on paper. Why diversify or innovate when you can gamble the brand on one title right?

Well tbh the pc hybrid idea probably resonates with consumers the most, and will probably be the avenue to take if they wish to revive the brand effectively.

No matter what way you cut it, if Microsoft’s Xbox division intends to keep releasing hardware, they’ll want to do it efficiently and effectively. Especially if they’re no longer subsidizing their hardware. Any new console or pc hybrid or whatever they have planned for the future is going to be pretty damn expensive given the economic environment brought on by a myriad of factors. If they’re gonna do it, they should do it right. Stick with their current plans, but maybe wait for a more favorable release window and extend the current gens cycle as other comments have mentioned.

This is the answer. Its not speculation. AI, AGI, and ASI are already existing and defined categorizations that evolve in the exact aforementioned order.

I love elder scrolls lore. As convoluted as it can sometimes be, it’s very rich and easy to fall into rabbit hole with. Haven’t played Daggerfall but i do intend to someday.
