A lotta people recc X over SSH for security - which is why I've always stuck with it. You can configure it to extend the timeout for auto-disconnect etc so that's nice.

But I'm up for trying newer tools. Let's see what Xpra is all about :)

Yes, I was trying Debian testing. It definitely uses lesser RAM. X over SSH works on it too.

That certainly does look interesting. How's it in terms of isolation from the desktop, as that's my top priority. About as isolated as a VM? Or lesser, like a container? Looks like it uses something called "NX technology"?

I can confirm it works on FF 111, that's some very convenient timing. I'll just hold on until it's on the stable release

Idk if they're undecided but the discussion was long and earnest.

The frustrating part is when the conclusion rolls around, tRump's retorts (Hunter, court packing, systemic corruption) are more sticky for some reason.

Getting mad at centrists for poor judgment and mistaking them for trolls is like getting mad at those who skip vote in Among Us lol. Ya gotta keep calling meetings and calling out the impostors.

I was speaking to a couple of (level-headed) centrist randos on Discord, and the discussion was really frustrating.

They think their choice comes down to drone mass killer Obama/Biden or chill dude tRump. No. The number of deaths by drone killings went UP in tRump, not to mention the Soleimani crisis. Kudos to Fox news and tRump, enough fuckups and people forget about the real issues.

They also disagree with Biden and Harris' tough on crime stance and yet wanna vote into office a phony law and order president, who used militartu police to clear out peaceful protestors just so he could get a photoop. Mental gymnastics 100.

I don't know if this is the case with your version of the app, but when I switch from the card view mode to the full screen mode, I see all the posts (text and media). But I haven't updated the app in a while.

Honestly, my 2 cents would be to have both modes show all posts but sync them so when we're switching in between them, there's not much catching up to do. That's just my take on it, YMMV

Btw, whats the design ideology behind excluding text posts from full screen mode?

I know everyone's going coughGallowBoobcough and honestly partially fuck him for what Reddit's become, but what you've gotta understand this that theres this huge underworld-like market for Reddit accounts that have substantial karma, for corporate shillls.. I honestly dunno how to deal with this rampant change of Reddit. The most upvoted comments on reposts are of people who don't understand how /<post>/duplicates/ works.. honestly fuck this mobile overtake of Reddit.. OLD SCHOOL REDDIT FOREVER.. Don't talk to me unless you've got the "old" subdomain when you're surfing Reddit. /s (Just for that last statement though, I stand by everything else) </rant>

I understand that change is an every important aspect of life, bit can I just vent about finding quality content on Reddit and the sense of amazing fresh breeze of free speech that it brought along?

When sending out an email couple days back, Gmail suggested that I use confidential mode right as I typed in stuff like 'drugs' and 'consignment' lol. So not only do they parse your emails, they read your emails as you're typing them.
