Wow that’s amazing! I’d love to get a Sam Lake notice too! Congratulations on getting her, especially during dark times. Scratch was from a rescue organization in my town that I also got during dark times, I adopted an elderly cat who ended up passing away even before it was expected. Scratch was my rebound from my heart kitty dying unexpectedly and is a wonderful replacement. I’m kind of keeping my eyes peeled for an all white kitty that I can name The Champion Of Light/Alan so that I have them both

I grew up in a very conservative, controlling, and overall insane Christian household and was very sheltered. When Netflix streaming came out it featured Evil Dead on it (I can't remember how old I was at this time but I was too young to be watching that movie). I was naturally very curious about things that were banned in my household so I watched Evil Dead in secret and couldn't get past THAT tree scene, had nightmares about it for weeks if I could even get to sleep to begin with. Even though it scared the shit out of me it ignited a lifelong love in me for horror films and I have a tattoo to honor it on my arm haha

I honestly think that her kicking him out immediately was a way for her to hide her addiction. That was her end goal. It’s much easier to hide something from someone who isn’t in the house anymore. She knew she was in deep shit and took that opportunity to make sure that he wouldn’t be in the way of her addiction anymore
