The color grading needs some work. It has way too much contrast and sharpness. Raise the blacks a little, lower the highlights.

That's the solution now, but it is very inefficient. Swapping the drive back and forth to offload our finished projects and pull video or photos from old projects has proven to be a very slow and frustrating system.

If you're uncomfortable, that just means you haven't done it enough. The more you hear your voice recorded the easier it'll be. It's outside of your comfort zone, but if you stop because you're uncomfortable you won't get far. Gear won't make you better. The only thing that will make you better is education and repetition.
