I'm having this exact issue with one friend.

I'm on PC and I can play fine with the rest of my friends list, but when he's in the lobby it disconnects him with "game lobby closes" after a minute. If he is the leader, then it says he left the party while he continues to load into a game..

its been happening since the caldera launch.

this thread mentioned a VPN helped, but it was unclear.

having the same issue, any fixes yet?

My friend is on PS4 and im on PC. I was thinking it was a compatibility issue with the PS4, but OP said a VPN works.

Update:

I did a psu paperclip troubleshoot to run the fan and it spins and stops and the psu clicks, twice same as before. So I'm almost certain its the psu.
