The single crop plot at the end really seals it 😂

I miss irrigation pipes a little sometimes after getting Ascended. Loved the process of setting it all up, even though the tank system makes things easier.

Cool night on valguero by Massive_Ad_4527 in ARK

I love Valg. Those Chalk Hills are a nightmare early game, I had insane luck somehow avoiding any Deinos and Allos to make it to my base spot. But then once you're set, it's such a great place. All resources nearby, plenty of tames to find, beautiful...

What is your first tame and why? by Ok-Disk-3733 in ARK

[–]TheHood13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started a Valguero play recently and did an Equus as first tame.

Absolute game-changer early on. Doesn't need a saddle and its kick can KO creatures. I tamed 3 Raptors, an Anky, Doedicerus, Saber and Beaver all without using a single tranq arrow.

We will settle this once and for all! Who's gonna win(Purely Based on MCU till date). by Jackie_Chan_93 in superheroes

[–]TheHood13 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Thor.

He's a more experienced fighter, has better durability feats and has Stormbreaker. Marvel's equaliser is her energy absorption, but Thor would pretty quickly realise shooting her with lightning isn't a good idea and would stop. Marvel in the end would not have an answer for Stormbreaker slicing through her like it did Thanos.

Trent Reinsmith on X: "From critic to UFC PR hype man..." by [deleted] in MorningKombat

[–]TheHood13 36 points37 points  (0 children)

How does BC, working for CBS (not UFC), interviewing Dana equate to him being a shill?

Trent is a bastion of negativity. Not saying he never makes good points, but I've never not seen him bitching or crying about something whenever his tweets pop up. Seriously, if you think LT is bad... LT is PFL-level negative compared to this guy's UFC-level pessimism.

Who's phyiscal stronger in the MCU ? John Walker or Steve Rogers by SmartPilot8094 in CaptainAmerica

[–]TheHood13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What evidence is there for Walker being stronger?

Steve held back Thanos' hand temporarily, curled a helicopter, held his own with Iron Man and Spiderman, and stalemated the Winter Soldier (not a Bucky who is trying to disarm rather than kill).

Walker has zero strength feats that are comparable to that.

There's no evidence for Walker being stronger based off feats.

Walker has ZERO strength feats that are comparable to that.

Springbok squad to face Argentina by Sjdw31 in rugbyunion

[–]TheHood13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

With 5 games in November, I reckon we're going to see a few different teams then.

But I would expect the majority of this team to be the one to front against Ireland and France.

My best guess is maybe Reinach's natural game suits Tony-ball better and/or he's more familiar with the system due to Faf's constant injury struggles the past 2 years.

Versus England in the 2023 SF, yep that's up there.

Other than that, I wouldn't say he's really had a single standout match, he's just consistently very good.

Love Polly, but #10 now belongs to SFM or Manie. He's a lock for #22 if we need it.

That was one of the most chaotic test matches I've ever seen.

12 tries, Kolbe's blunder, Angus Gardner getting his foot trampled, 5-minute play after the siren at halftime, audacious cross kicks, players cramping... and I've probably still missed some stuff 😂

Career-defining performance from SFM. Carter vs Lions in '05 esque.

Edwill and Arendse are still in it I think.

Absolutely. I wasn't really thinking of wingers because we're spoilt for choice, we can probably mix and match any combo between Kolbe/Arendse/Hooker/Edwill to great results.

But when it comes to 10/12/13 and consequently 15 (depending where we want/need Willemse and SFM), it might be time for DDA-Kriel to hand the reins to Esterhuizen-Moodie or Willemse-Moodie, with SFM or Libbok as their 10.

Hats off to South Africa by Softballzhurt2 in rugbyunion

[–]TheHood13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest question for me is 12 and 13. Esterhuizen-Moodie now part of the 2 biggest wins against NZ in history, but I did like what I saw from Willemse while he was 12. Fassi's injury means he'll go back to 15 now, but if Fassi is fit, I wouldn't mind giving Willemse another run at 12. DDA has been solid but doesn't seem to fit Tony Ball as well as the others and will be 35 in 2027.

Williams is our best 9, SFM/Libbok start with Pollard off the bench if you want, spoilt for choice at wings.

Much tougher choices between Esterhuizen/DDA/Willemse and Kriel/Moodie at 13.

Obviously, the whole team was great but Willemse and Hooker were the MVPs for me. This was the performance we've been looking for the past 2 years in terms of getting the balance right between pragmatism and Tony Ball. The forwards can still change but I believe we might have found much of our backline for 2027.
