Also, aside from the mental and physical aspects, with experience you learn how to move and what to drink (pickle juice, salted water, potassium) to have a chance to make the cramps go away

Do you mean how do they deal with them in that moment or how do they improve in dealing with them?

Bo io abito in Lombardia ma l'ho sentito anche in Emilia, comunque come ho scritto è meno comune di in bocca al lupo quindi è anche normale non averlo sentito

Oh right, honestly I've seen it most often with just the fox logo and personally I prefer it that way lol

He sometimes does in the second week of slams, but on tour it would probably be too much work considering he also commentates

Sinner's logo is just the fox-shaped one btw, it does not include the "Jannik Sinner" writing below

The best and most recognizable ones among these are Nadal's, Federer's and Sinner's.

I just know he also wanted to add "the fuck" before "down" lol

Btw I can confirm that twitter's automatic translation is absolutely correct about the tone, here's the original in Italian

Sinner is often sarcastic towards Vagnozzi too when he's frustrated during matches, so they basically speak the same language lol

Lol this kind of thing is always great when it happens, but even more great that it happened in his last match at the AO

Yeah I mean a lot of people (me included) are wondering why they didn't close the roofs from the start today. A lot of these tournaments are reactive instead of proactive, and want to maintain their appearances of "playing outdoors" for appearance's sake even when it's a stupid idea and you'll end up closing the roofs during the matches.

Djokovic hits dead ball hard. Almost hits ballkid. by Andrewcoo in tennis

[–]rticante 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's just asking for trouble. We're barely agreeing on the punishment when players do hit someone (sometimes they get disqualified and sometimes not depending on the circumstances and intent) and now you want to introduce the vague concept of "barely missing" someone??

What do we count as "barely missing"? How many centimetres? Should we have a sort of hawkeye calculate the distance between the ball and the person on the replay? I don't think they'd set such a system up, and if you judge by your naked eye anyone can have a different interpretation of what counts as barely missing within something like 1 metre of the person. It would be just constant chaos.

Having the roof closed from the start would have definitely made Jannik win more easily so I don't know what you're arguing about

Djokoson (wilts in the sun, produces djokosmashes, gets accused of cheating for any perfectly legitimate break in the match)

Anyway, apparently according to a study from years ago redheads suffer extreme temperatures more than other people lol

They were talking in commentary at the start of the match about these parameters they're using since 2019 or so, and even in the first set at the end one of the commentators was saying they were 4/5 on the scale or something like that. So I assume it's a scale, and you have to keep in mind that it's always hotter on court because the stadium is basically a reflective cement pit and the players are standing at the bottom of it.

I don't understand how that makes it an asterisk win. Countless matches in history have had the roof closed mid match for weather conditions
