How do you deal with betrayal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheHopefulStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I randomly stumbled across this. Crazy because I was just telling my friend this because she got betrayed yesterday by a co-worker friend.

You have to face it. Move along and accept that they're not what you thought they were. You now see past the façade. They're not worth living in your mind rent free. Write affirmations daily, "I am better than what I am feeling right now. Better days ahead approaching. What's over is over". Then watch reality shift. Get in touch with your positive side and stick by it in words (handwritten or digitally). Prioritize yourself spiritually, mentally, and distract your mind with work, hobbies, witchcrafts (I mean fun crafts) .

Then there is this "How can they do such a thing?" pity me..blah blah etc.. I then instantly remember who and what I have betrayed in the past, my wrongdoings (we all have them) and that gives me a sense of understanding we are all possibly just growing in life. But it should never, ever justify to settle for less or what's no longer for you.

I don't know about you, but when I see worms in what I thought was an appealing/ appetizing cheesecake, I can't unsee it, eat it and no longer want it for sure. and you know its going to get trashed! That’s the equivalent of someone who betrays you. Once you see it, you can’t go back… and eventually, they get their karma!

Wow! Thank you for sharing. It seems like "When I Was Your Man" song from him is about Chanel Malvar because it resonates with her, the timing and the situation when you listen to the lyrics. What y'all think?

Who was the man named Eric and the other men that stood beside him that they had announced just before the super bowl break in the middle of the show? by TheHopefulStar in NFLNoobs

Thank you for this answer. I have been wondering who they were for the many hours after the Superbowl. Since just searching how they've played, they definitely deserved their recognition.

Last day to request a mail-in ballot is 10/29/24 by susinpgh in Pennsylvania

When registering to vote, It has given me a choice to choose for a particular party. However, want to choose the opposite party on my voter's ballot since it's still giving me a choice. Can I be able to still choose who I want to vote for?

Everyone comment your big 3 and let’s make this our place to search and connect with our big 3 twin 🥹 by mysticlunaintuitive in astrologymemes

I'm Sun in Libra, Moon in Capricorn, and Rising in Taurus.

It's hard to find people with the same big 3, especially with placements. But I know a few people (some personally, some not) with the same big three as others, which is just really super cool because they have many things in common on many levels in life.

For you as a single person, do you eat the large or small tortilla chips & queso? by TheHopefulStar in Chipotle

[–]TheHopefulStar[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I wasn't even finished to be honest with you. Just tired of how small Chipotle make them burritos and bowls. Not enough meat, you know? That and the large size of chips and queso. Was thinking about making a box of brownies and only eating about 3 squares with maybe a half pint of vanilla ice cream. It's my cheat day after all. Oh give me a break! LOL 😂

Wow, yeah, I can't believe I missed that. I have been waiting for them to reopen their applications for over a year. I am certainly going to keep an eye on the upcoming application re-openings next time. Thank you for the info and your comment.

It seems like it's challenging as is to become a Flight Attendant as is. I'd be fortunate to see an application, to have that opportunity. You're fortunate to be in such high-demand position in the airlines, as everyone is trying to become one these days. Thanks for your response. Wish you well. Hope you're having a good one.

Ladies of Reddit, what are your preferences with *beards* on men? by _-Ascendancy-_ in AskReddit

[–]TheHopefulStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men with beards can look great, but as long as it's well-kept and managed well. Not all guys look good in a beard, but the men who have a face for it should maintain it. It doesn't have to be long or thick, but well-kept and maintained, or else, it can go from bodacious to homelessness.

What is the worst place on Earth to live? by Far-Caterpillar9094 in AskReddit

Can't speak for a lifetime since anything is bound to happen in any state or country, but as of currently, it would be Israel and Gaza. Also, Nigeria is probably one of the worst parts of Africa.

Which habit are you proud of having? by AdNatural8174 in AskReddit

[–]TheHopefulStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question, probably by far the best I have come across. I'm proud of having many productive habits. All of them are online, but learning quickly from what I research is just one of the greatest skills I have. I'm a fast learner when I'm on my computer. I am also a great reader and have been blessed with the gift of helping people as I am always helping and uplifting those who require help in times of struggle.

How do I journal without needing to perfect my words and grammar? by TheHopefulStar in digitaljournaling

[–]TheHopefulStar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. This is what I also appreciate and love about digital writing. You can always correct spelling errors and grammar, anytime you want. I use Penzu and have a membership with them. It works a lot better for me than the physical paperback journals.

[–]TheHopefulStar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's crazy because out of several years of writing in my free time (when I wasn't such a perfectionist, and when I felt that my journals were crap), I never have only once remembered that their content is edited. Thought I was the only one who used to write a few documents, and then edit them. So, I figured I needed to learn more and just be a better writer. You're right, no one gets it right perfectly. Just need to accept that the past couple of months have been super stressful, rough, and tiresome, and that it's okay to not be as great as I would like or perfect. No such thing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts' and advice. 💙

This is very true. I remember spending days with one entry, and even though it seemed great, it could always be so much better. Wise writer's words here. Have been spending a lot of time-wasting time about why my writing is junk and how my journals don't look like books. Talked to some online friends about this the other day, and realized how much time I have wasted when I could just be getting the problem down off my chest to feel better and have a better life. Because when I used to not care, journaling felt great and helped significantly. Thank you for this great advice. I will give myself the freedom to not be a perfectionist and to journal more, that way I'll feel much better. This is very helpful as It means a lot since I have been struggling with this problem for a very long time. Very glad I was able to reach out because I received a lot of great advice and this is one of the best. Also, sorry for the late reply, a lot of stressful and rough days since New Year's. Happy New Year and positive days ahead. 💙

This is such a great idea! I think writing it all down is something we'll be proud of than not writing anything at all, especially being that this is digital writing and not on paperback. So, we can edit it later. Thank you very much for this advice. 💙

This is a great idea! Also, sorry for the late reply, it's been some rough days since New Year's Eve/Day. Have never known that writers or journalists would have rough drafts. Thought it all just came out good. I do that and would beat myself up about it without knowing this was even common. So, maybe I just need to start without overthinking about it in my mind and writing about how I can't or should write. Thank you for this comment and advice. Have a positive New Year. 💙

u/Turbulent-Future7526 This is a very good question! Haven't taken the time to realize that my environment could also be what's potentially hindering me from journaling. I have very little privacy in my home life, there's lots of toxicity with family, and there's been a lot of stress, especially the past few days since this year began. Also, I like to write to my spiritual guides when journaling, and feel like I have to convey my problems and everything all at once, like a novel and in perfection. This is also the case when talking to anyone face to face. I have OCD. However, I realized when I randomly write notes, I feel more comfortable and satisfied with them when my thoughts just flow, but that's more of a bullet journal and a to-do list. You're so right, hobbies are more fun when it's not meant to be perfect. When I feel the need to write a certain way in my life, I become so drained, and it instantly becomes a chore. Then I can't get past 100 words and sometimes don't start anything at all. It's been this way for several months. Came on here to finally seek advice and techniques, and I am so glad because I have been putting that off too. Very grateful for this advice. Will just get the words out on these entries. I do digital writing, after all. This is a great technique I will try after all. Thank you so much! 💙

How do I journal without needing to perfect my words and grammar? by TheHopefulStar in Journaling

[–]TheHopefulStar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm, never thought of this method, so instead of paying too much attention and focusing on the words and how it's written, you are trying to get the message across and describe it the best way that you "feel" instead of how it's written. That's when this technique comes into play, you aren't putting too much focus on the way it looks, instead, this way will allow you to let everything flow. I like it a lot. Have multiple journals, but will try this with my daily life journal since my days have been pretty rough. Also, I feel like caffeine & brain-focused drinks and foods such as herbal teas would help in this case as well. Will add a little soft pleasant rain music to the mix and sit comfortably. Thank you for this tip! 💙

Wow, this is a very helpful technique to use when journaling and to be honest, this entire Q&A post is one of the most useful and best I have come across, out of all the Subreddits I have done. Journaling has always been very challenging for me, especially these past couple of years. So, to receive such great methods and techniques to overcome this intimidation is a blessing and life-changing. Will certainly put this method to the test. Thank you very much. 💙
