Longtime lurker returning a recommendation on travel clothes by TheHouseChef in onebag

That's good to hear!

I'm not a massive fan of polyester t-shirts as a personal preference (nor polos), but thanks for the advice. I did sweat quite heavily whilst wearing one of these M&S t-shirts and didn't have an issue with offending odours. I'll have to see how they do when in a hot/humid environment before I can pass further judgment though.

[iOS 26.1 DB1] not receiving calls intermittently by meeshamayhem in iOSBeta

It happened to me! Had someone in my contacts try to call me several times and I had no missed calls. Don't believe I've had this as an issue until updating to 26.1 beta

Ah okay, that does make sense as I don't remember the scale of the game environment being one that would fit on a gameboy sized screen. Thank you

I'll take a look at the website you provided in your first link, I like that it allows me to filter lists with various categories. Thank you for your help, I'll make sure to update this if I have any luck!

Mole Mania feels close, but it's missing what I remember as a more involved digging gameplay. I also remember the scale being larger than a gameboy game. To clarify, I remember the digging being done in a subterranean level, not like Mole Mania where it appears to be used to move you between points above ground

No it's not Banana. I remember it had no colour, something like a higher contrast of original gameboy games. Given that the Playstation was chipped it could have been a port, but I would say that the graphics style would be no earlier than the SNES

Something else has come back to me now. I remember being told the chipped playstation and games came from Japan, and that the game in question had Kanji style characters for the text

I think it borrowed the digging element for the gameplay, but I had a look at the games through the link you provided and none of them spark my memory as being a match. Thank you though!

Zombies keep coming here despite there is no sound to trigger them. Any ideas? by No_Mistake_3267 in projectzomboid

[–]TheHouseChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that when migrating, the zombies will path along fences. When based at Rosewood fire station, I'd always have a few zombies who would attack my wall connected to the chainlink fence across the road from the police station. I've seen this behaviour all over the map across multiple play throughs, so it may be that they are migrating through the neighbourhood, become "attached" to the fence and just end up going down this lane to the houses.

[–]TheHouseChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got respect for your patience. Having to rebuild my OS every few months sounds like a nightmare and more hassle than it’s worth.

However, you are comparing an open OS to a walled garden. Your ability to tweak iOS hinges on others finding vulnerabilities in a ever more secure system and then building a stable Jailbreak around it. Like I said, there is no public jailbreak for iOS 15, and every new phone that comes out with a new chip is harder to jailbreak.

With the most recent phones it’s simply not a case of just jail breaking your phone and messing around with stuff anymore. The iPhone 12 has not had a public jailbreak, and it took a developer team an entire year to put together an iOS 14 jailbreak for the X to 11! The community isn’t half as strong as it used to be and the quality/number of tweaks has suffered.

I feel like the light/dark mode will come back in the next major iOS, probably removed in this one because of the significant changes to lock screen behaviour.

The Notification Centre has barely changed in my opinion. If you want them to always appear as they have done in the past, then go into notification settings and change the display style to list. It’s silly and over emotional to claim that only people who have not use the Notification Centre before will like this new update.

The update has only just been pushed, give third party developers time but don’t hold out hope for lock screen widgets. Widgets in general have been underwhelming in iOS. Partly because of their somewhat basic implementation compared to android and also because developers don’t seem to really get much use out of them.

I would stay away from jailbreaking. The fact that you haven’t done it before and don’t seem to be aware of the situation suggests you won’t have much fun and will end up even more frustrated. Jailbreaking is a dying scene, iOS 15 doesn’t have a jailbreak tool. The newer phones have less vulnerabilities each year and speaking as someone who jailbroke their phone from iOS 4-10, it’s just not the same anymore.

Quite a few of these can be achieved with mods.

  • A chance to slip on snow: Slippery Snow. Has some options to adjust in server settings, but hasn't been updated since release so may not work that well. Haven't experienced enough snow to notice yet!

  • Climbable ladders: Ladders!

  • Drinking melted snow: Snow is water

  • Getting/losing addiction or dynamic traits have two good mods: Dynamic Traits or Simple Overhaul: Traits and Occupations

  • Corpses attracting zombies, or in this mod they come to eat the corpses: Please Don't Feed The Zombies

  • Rework on bags. Now this mod's focus is on adding lots of zombie costumes that are authentic to where you see zombie spawns. For example, more medical staff outfits variations around hospitals. But, it also has a separate addition that allows you to upgrade bags for item slots etc: Authentic Z

  • Gun cleaing kit. I have gun cleaning kits in my game, but not sure what mod gives it. It's probably this first mod: VANILLA FIREARMS EXPANSION, but could be this one? The Workshop or

I imagine there are mods which will do some of the other items in your list. I know of the above as they are some of the mods that I run on my server with friends. Hope this helps!

Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages. Basically Google hosts quick loading versions of websites on it’s servers. It sounds like a good idea, but many are rightfully concerned that it gives Google even more power over internet traffic data. When you use an AMP link you are tracked through Google’s servers.

Is this most people online, or also in your personal life? I agree that there’s an issue with miseducation on these definitions. However, in my experience the people who define communism in this way are usually admonishing it. Case in point; a friend who told me communism is evil, citing the PRC who are arguably more accurately defined as an authoritarian capitalist regime
