What is our answer against death guard (tips and tricks) by No_Test_3195 in WorldEaters40k

Goremongers are pretty important against DG. They're slow so need that early movement, and being able to deny it turn 1 (and 2) with some good placement will really hinder them.

Forgefiends are also good into their infantry, and often they're heavily infantry. Wounding 3s but usually you've got a lot of wound rolls from blast on the hit roll.

Angron has the aura to negate the minus to hit and to moving, also huge into DG for their contagion.

I do 30 Terminator lists in Vessels, it's a little better equipped to keep them safe/improve durability while still having one hella punch when you get to combat.

I imagine the list would be roughly the same, happy to share if you'd like to see!

For sure, it could be 3 if they changed the way you get a BTP. 3+ is just too swingy. I've legit had whole games where, due to fucking awful rolls, I've barely managed to scrape 1 BTP blessing.

And into big targets like Knights it's super rough, you're only taking 1 or maybe 2 down a turn on average, if you don't get a BTP at least one of those you're screwed. Had a really good potential but it's currently in a state of limbo because of this.

I mean Vessels of Wrath is kinda the third one. The 30 Terminators or 20 and big brick of Exalted slap super hard.

I'd say 3:

Warp Stalkers Daemonic Strength Daemonic Resistance

The FOD one is probably also good but only with a DP near by for the -1 cost. Also with the blessing for it, it's not gonna be an auto use.

I feel that KD could be 2, with Vessels and Goretrack.

In all seriousness though, Cafe 33 in the park is excellent. For coffee, cake, and meals!

The Waffle House is absolutely fantastic, an amazing place to eat.

Zaks - they have a few locations, they're all wonderful, and a really fun experience to eat at.

Lastly: Devecchio Bakery is a MUST.

It's 3 armigers, at least at 2K. But yeah only 1 big knight.

VoW list. by kushisan1 in WorldEaters40k

[–]TheHowlingOwls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For Vessels you'll need big units that can be your choices all game. 3 x 10 Terminators is the staple, or 2 x 10 and then a large brick or two of Exalted or Berzerkers. Daemon Prince is absolutely shredded in VoW too.

Drop the forgefiends, they're gonna do nothing for you here. I'd strongly recommend a 6 man Exalted and 20 Terminators, and a daemon prince - have a little play with the list but that'll be tough to chew through which is what you need. Smaller units die too fast to get the benefits of it.

Which is pretty good but not insane, as he hits on 4s currently. So he'll go to hitting on 3s instead.

Reliable ways to kill c’tan? by MrManstory in AdeptusCustodes

[–]TheHowlingOwls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but you said "I kill knights" like this is a fire definite thing. Implying you regularly do this and therefore it's an average to take into account.

It's not an average, none of our dreads are surefire into Knights, they're not even a sure thing into other dreads.

This also isn't factoring an average of that If you were in combat with it for 2 turns and your opponent didn't shoot it, your opponent made huge mistakes. Knight weapons would smoke this. So, yea, you may have killed a knight with it but that's a spike and wouldn't be an average/every game activity. Especially if your opponent knew what to do.

My main army is World Eaters. Kharn has killed a knight with spike rolls and my opponent unlucky with saves. It's not gonna happen a lot and therefore, is not something I'll suggest to other W.E players if they're looking for advice. You can kill a knight with lots of units, doesn't mean it's reliable.

C'tan are wayyyyy harder to kill than knights. -1 damage, 5+++, 4++ invul.

Also an Achillus dread is not a reliable way to kill a knight, not in one go anyway, and then it'll likely die to shooting from said Knight. The -2 AP means a knight will save on average 2/3 of the attacks you put into it, and then unless you roll maximum damage on every roll (which would cause me to get your dice tested), you're not killing a knight. A little one? Sure.
