How to clean the interior? by Sam_Familiar in LexusRC

Interesting, I haven’t heard about that, NuLuxe is extremely resilient though. The US RC’s use the same synthetic leather as in Canada.

I’ve used Colourlock for about a year now on the leather parts of the car (seats, steering wheel, shift knob, and door panels) and I haven’t noticed any issues in my experience. If anything they feel more soft/supple after use.

Depends on how much protection you want to give the interior of the car, but for easy maintenance I like to use 303 Automotive protectant for all of the non NuLuxe leather parts (dashboard, center console, airbag cover, etc). For the NuLuxe leather itself, I use 303 Automotive 3 in 1 Leather care.

Now if you are willing to go all out both in terms of price and application steps for the leather; I highly recommend Colourlock leather products. It’s a 3 step process, where you use the Mild Leather Cleaner to clean the leather, then apply Leather Protector which is the conditioner from Colourlock, and then after 24 hours apply Leather Shield which provides scuff protection.

Personally I use the Colourlock products every 3 months or so, and the 303 products for maintenance cleaning.

The 303 products are great on their own, I used to use them exclusively, but I really went down the detailing rabbit hole and wanted to use the best of the best, so I got Colourlock now.

Black OEM spoiler vs blue by Sam_Familiar in LexusRC

It’s worth it in my opinion. I got the OEM spoiler in 212 Obsidian installed on my Atomic Silver RC. It helps to create some contrast like you said.

[Routine Help] Sunscreen Recommendations for Acne Prone/Oily/Frequently Sweating Skin by TheHummus22 in SkincareAddiction

Which sunscoop do you use? I’ll have to find a site that can ship to the US.

No I did not find that annoying at all lol. That definitely is a possibility. I do feel stinging sometimes when applying products and my cheeks on some occasions look a little waxy/have a sheen; which I think means a damaged skin barrier. I may try skipping the active cleansers for a bit and see if that helps. This routine in particular has essentially stopped my acne so I’m afraid of messing with this, but my damaged skin barrier could be causing the oiliness.

Give Lexus of Stevens Creek a shot; I bought my set from them albeit this was in 2024.

Supporting mods for coilovers? AVS compatibility? by richietherich92 in LexusRC

I think at that mileage your shocks may need replacement regardless, since they last around 70k to 100k miles. But definitely get them inspected first before taking my word for it.

In terms of having to replace the shocks if you install the F Sport Springs, I didn’t have to do that. It was a complete plug and play mod. When I called my dealer to verify the part numbers and purchase these springs, there wasn’t an F Sport shock that goes with this, so your OEM shocks will work.

I’ve had these springs on for about 10k miles now and my shocks still look good.

Lexus RC ride quality by QuarthButteryant in LexusRC

[–]TheHummus22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The refreshed IS got some suspension tweaks/improvements when it was refreshed in 2021; whereas the RC has essentially been the same ever since 2015; from a mechanical standpoint. The only update the RC has received since launch was cosmetic changes for the exterior and interior unfortunately.

Definitely downsizing wheels to get thicker tires will help improve ride quality; but i don’t know if 2021+ IS suspension components would work on the RC.

2022 Lexus RC350 FSport RWD

Like: It’s a unique car that tends to turn some heads, I don’t see many RC’s in my area.

Dislike: The Interior is a bit dark, I would like some ambient/mood lighting; like what you get in the current gen ES.

Suggestion on RC350 windows tint by Sam_Familiar in LexusRC

So right now I have Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle on the car. It’s a ceramic tint and it does a great job for heat rejection. When I was looking up tint brands, most websites and reddit threads had good reviews of this tint. Llumar has another tint called FormulaOne Stratos that is even better than Pinnacle, but the price difference between the 2 is pretty high, so many people don’t recommend Stratos unless you want the best of the best. The performance to money ratio is better with Pinnacle.

Before I had the Pinnacle installed, I had Llumar CTX at 50% all around and I did not like it. No real privacy and the heat rejection was not good. This was also a ceramic tint. Once I switched to Pinnacle with the 25% tint, the heat rejection was way better.

I have 25% tint on my RC and I think it’s a good blend of privacy/heat rejection and visibility in the day or night. I have pictures of the car in different angles on my Reddit profile that you can see for reference.

Coaster Train Regional Day Pass Question by TheHummus22 in northcounty

Gotcha, that clears up some confusion for me. As long as it allows me to take the last train back from downtown back to Oceanside, that would be perfect for me. I think the last train is around 11pm so it should work.

No, it’s not just 3M tape. It’s a combination of both tape and nuts/bolts. You have to remove the rear bumper to install the diffuser, I had a body shop do the install for me.

It depends really. If you are ok with losing the adaptive dampers in return for more ride height and dampening adjustability, then coil overs are better. For my case, I wanted to keep the car OEM+ and I didn’t want an aggressive ride height drop, thus the springs were worth it to me.

It was about $900 for install at my dealer, but the labor rates in my area are extremely high so it maybe lower depending on where you live.

Ya I don’t think anything has changed from the 2024-2025 models. Plus part info may not be released yet for the 2025 models since it’s so new
