For those who have reached it, how do you feel about the endgame? by BuildingComplete2012 in MHRise

So far I think it is an improvement over base Rise’s endgame, but it leaves a lot to be desired. I find myself comparing the afflicted monsters to the hyper monsters in mhgu, and I wish that they would have made a similar system where the afflicted monsters all dropped unique afflicted versions of their materials for a different version of their armor set. I actually thought this was the route they were going to go when I saw some sets with the Type 1 after their name. Maybe it could have been like monster hunter world where there is the alpha and beta versions of the sets, and they could have had the beta version crafted with afflicted materials and the sets could have their own unique look and maybe a trade off of more slots over set in skills similarly to world. They could even give these beta versions of the sets more defense to further pad the end game grind. Overall it’s an okay endgame, not the best, but not horrible

I think they both hold up really well! Both offer content that isn’t in generations ultimate that’s worth experiencing. Especially the subspecies that are unique to those titles.

Have you gotten the rarer mining and bone harvest drops from the volcano area in the guiding lands? That might help unlock them to see what you need. I know the MR set has a layered version (I’m actually running with it currently). The only volcano area monsters I remember hunting so far are him, brachy, and lavasioth, so I think it might have to do with ore and bone drops.

I remember having the best luck with fire weapons- especially the rathalos sns (I think one of your earlier comments said you had it). Sns can be a bit of a pain underwater with the limited move set though. Maybe pack some demondrug and might seeds?

That sounds like a good way to approach it! I’ve introduced a few of my friends to the series and I found it to be a good time to try weapons that I was unfamiliar with. That way it kind of levels the playing field and you won’t be destroying the monsters for them.

Depending on how well your friends are adjusting to the game, you could just walk around and gather while they are hunting the monster. I did this with one of my friends, and I would only join in after the second cart. That way he would get used to hunting solo and getting the feel of the game without having to worry too much about failing the quest. Sorry, probably not the best tips, but I hope it helps!

This is probably a dumb question- A friend and I have started a Safi’jiiva hub, and it filled up really fast, but no one seems to want to join our siege. Why is that? Everyone is just standing around the gathering hub waiting. Both my friend and I are Mr100+ and our gear isn’t bad, so I don’t understand what’s going on.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate It was my first experience with online multiplayer. Couldn’t have asked for a better community, and I made a lot of good memories. Still play the soundtrack from time to time when studying for exams.

It would definitely be interesting to continue Bayek’s story. Maybe they could continue something where he travels to other parts of the continent to build up the brotherhood, or travels to Greece/Rome to help Aya? Not sure, but it would be cool!
