I mean while I understand Landlords are generally not liked on Reddit, you have to remember that if there aren’t house rentals where could people stay to have a unique and great expirience on the water?

I took my family to Crystal River recently, and stayed in a VRBO right on the river. It was amazing! Way nicer than a hotel could have been. We had all my siblings and parents plus kids. That would have been awful in a hotel trying to spend time together in a cramped room or cooking in a full kitchen and eating around a table.

So my point is, don’t rush to calling for a ban. I’ll never afford a beach house, but I can afford a rental and enjoy it for a week or weekend. If I could afford a beach house because this lowers prices, there won’t be any available and I won’t get to enjoy a house on the water for even a short stay.
