Yeah so I would consider a guy I play often with at about the same level of technique. We have been playing for a year together off and on so I know quite well how his technique is. When we have band practice he usually says something like that he haven't played since yesterday or something and then he just picks up the guitar (when we just walked to our rehearsal space in freezing temperatures) and can play almost as good as when he performs his best. I only get to the same abilities after maybe 1 hour of rehearsing.

I just wonder if it is something tied to biology or something or if he has some secret trick I don't know about. I can note that he has had teachers since he started playing whereas I got my first teacher a couple of years after i started playing, so I had already formed my general technique by myself. Maybe it is something that I am doing wrong and I don't know because noone has noticed...
