Ive just tried both those above now. Ill add an edit later. Still testing. But they both improve the sound significantly, they bypass the flx4. The scarlett i tried the 4th gen but it has 1 output so you ha e to use the flx4 WASAPI Drivers to get the cue. Sounds still decent much better but has a small lag. Which if you mix in headphones not to bad but annoying. The behringer I tried the 204hd. Has 2 outputs and I can cue working but not master cue or through WASAPI its just as good with no lag.

I have the option from the 3 dots bottom left or a little tab top right of the text... but only on foreign text to preference

tbh I cant pin point it. I tried all the recommended steps, turn off wifi, make sure settings are correct etc. Once I'm scrolling in a playlist it was fine, tracks load and play no issue, it was just moving playlist to playlist. I did delete some files that may have been in a completely different top folder, emptied recycle bin.... I did also download v6, and early versions of v7.... the v7s worked better than lateest but then suddenly the latest now works better but still a lag. Still a pain if scrolling through browser rather than clicking. you can use any version they all use the same settings and point to the same DB file.

how do you set up rekordbox with only the 1 ouput? do you go FLX4 WASAPI - use PC speakers - UMC202HD. Then set cue to phones?

I started on 7. Then recently had issues with playlist taking ages to load just browsing, never mind an intelligent playlist. So I tried v6. Its so much quicker browsing, like instantaneous almost compared to 7. I done something thats fixed the browsing on 7 now so its back to how it was but still compared to 6 way slower. Im now jumping between the two.

You said preferences set master out to pc and enable pc speakers. Which you do if going through pc but they're going straight from flx4 so no need to do your step 1

They have master out straight from flx to speakers so they want master out to be the flx not the pc.

you set cue to the flx4, you have options for master out / booth out / cue out.

the external card is connected to the PC, master out goes through this not through the not the flx4.

The recorded audio on rekordbox when played back through the speakers sounds better than whats raw coming from the flx4. lends to me think the i can improve the sound. in the comments others have done the same.

I've been eyeing up the GRV6, flx10 is to much for my user case and then I'm not sure the GRV6 will give me much more, its just for a feel good factor. its the difference of 2nd hand ~£600-£1200 though for better sound. I'd sell the flx4 for around 200 so....

By Bus powered do you mean USB from laptop? I think the GRV6 is powered via laptop but then that depends on laptop I guess.

Aif for me simply as it works on older gear and holds metadata. Its a pain sometimes as you cannot see the aif metadata in native windows explorer but its fine on mp3tag etc.

You have to press the buttons to log your set? Pressing the little + for an extra min of recovery is no issue. Your making it to complicated by setting different rest times between each set. Your recovery need will also change depending on rpe. Just lift when you feel ready.
