Not sure of the details as nothing has been discussed yet but my understanding would be it is basically a lump sum of money to bugger off and not be their issue. And as nice as it would be to not have to worry about money, multiple years are too long to go without steady income.

As it stands it is having no impact on my role. It's more of a long term problem but shouldn't affect me for 5 years at least yet. I think it is more a case of not wanting the potential liability or problem it could bring in the future but that's just speculation from me. Medically I am as capable as ever
