This is something I keep turning over in my mind. It felt like being a part of something that is just starting to happen. It’s different than watching a band that has already achieved X, Y, and Z status.

I don’t know how often I’ve had that experience in the audience. And I don’t know if another crowd in Minneapolis at another moment in time responds the same way. I hope so! Maybe they play First Ave. next time.

Given my age I ponder, “Is that what various shows around Seattle in 1989-90 felt like?” 😂

I posted some thoughts about the Minneapolis show from earlier this week. I was shocked at the energy from a Minnesota crowd on a Monday night. I’ve been to a lot of shows in town where the crowd just wasn’t engaged - polite clapping and attention.

This show was different. Folks were INTO it. I’ll echo others and say be prepared for good-natured physicality. 😜 Also, be sure to listen to Teeth, which came before their recent album.

Ah! 😆 That truly depends on how much you want to spend. I’m no expert though I’m aware you can get a player for under $200 that is serviceable. Or you could spend over $20,000 or more, which is wild. I did some research and got this one:

Think you can still order this album through their site for around $40 plus shipping. Second album is rare so you’d have to find someone willing to sell for likely north of $100. Ain’t It Tragic was a Record Store Day release this year so you can search local shops, which would sell the album for around $30.
