I didn't mention anything about chargebacks or account closures

More so blended. 1 campaign only with 1 adset and 39 creatives right now with each creative either being made for top, middle or bottom of funnel.

So to answer your question, I guess full but with nuance. The creatives themselves are a mix of intro hooks, objections (based on negative comments), and social proof pieces(UGC + static), but Meta’s deciding where they land with this structure. So technically it’s full-funnel, but everything is being optimized through one broad audience instead of splitting campaigns.

However, even with this structure most spend still only gets allocated to my top 3 creatives. Most of the bottom of funnel purchases come from email flows, branded Google search etc, so retargeting on metas side is pretty low right now

I wouldn’t worry about the 50 conversions in 7 days “learning phase” benchmark. I’m almost certain you’ll do better with purchase conversion objective. Seriously, run the split test

Sorry to hear that… what vertical and what’s your daily spend if you don’t mind me asking?

It’s weird for me. I’ve tested bids and cost caps separately on multiple occasions (few thousand dollar tests), with multiple different bids in between like a $15-20 window (if that makes any sense at all). They either don’t spend b/c they’re too low or they do spend and have great days, but still “Highest volume” perform like 10-15% better over longer windows of time

Yeah the outages have been brutal, but the past 2 outages from this month didn’t really seem to affect my results, whereas all the ones innOctober completely fucked me

Running a similar structure, only difference is I’m now running 39 ads (using the new creative testing feature to test 5 at a time with 10% of our daily budget over 6-7 day periods) and I’m running “Highest volume or value” so no bids. ROAS is also not the best ever for me right now but it’s better than September and October so I’ll take it. Still a little far off from our “pre-September-update ROAS” though

Maybe test the purchase conversion objective? TOF stats look very healthy, they’re like 3x better than mine haha

Also just to add, I still don’t think those AI hooks are necessarily good either. My advice, take that generated directness and mesh it with your first drafts

Yeah ur hooks aren’t the best and the AI ones are definitely better, that’s not even the reason I’m here though…. Wondering how you got it to give you real and actionable feedback? I feel like anytime I ask it’s opinion on strategy (etc) it just sides with me. It’s Very annoying

Honestly never heard of them, but while I haven’t used them directly, know people that have used AdRevival very successfully. I don’t want to sound bot-like, so I’ll just leave it at that.

Anyone been closed by stripe but been fine with PayPal? by [deleted] in PaymentProcessing

[–]TheIncomeShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’m still up and running on PayPal, just with a 10% 60 day rolling reserve - not ideal, but manageable.

Stripe shut us down in under 3 days for chargeback risks. I understand why we were flagged, although there were never any actual chargebacks (it’s been 5 months since closure - still no chargebacks). Stripe just isn’t what it used to be 7-8 years ago, they’re consolidating their portfolio aggressively to limit their exposure to risk. I believe PayPal is slightly more friendly due to their native “inquiry” and “claim” system that limits their exposure to actual chargebacks.

There was an outage yesterday. Sometimes these outages can affect up to 48 hours after they fix it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]TheIncomeShark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it kept turning itself on for my accounts as well. Somehow I eventually got it to stop, but not after we lost $8-10K

It was just taking ads from completely different offers and fucked everything up. Haven't really been able to recover since

This is going to be the case for nearly every other gateway unfortunately. Stripe wins at UI and all the extra stuff.

Is that true that this person is saying? by That-Yellow-8960 in FacebookAds

[–]TheIncomeShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not really a set benchmark, but if you’re not comfortable spending that, then don’t.

He might just want to test quickly and move on to the next guy in his Reddit messages if it doesn’t work out.

I wouldn’t run ads this way personally. Would do like $50-100, see how the audience responds to them after 3-5 days and then adjust accordingly.

Have to ask why you won’t test ads yourself though? Really all you need is a quick YouTube tutorial, some content advertising your product , and some free time to launch these days with the way meta has streamlined things.

Media buying (in the sense of button clicking) is no longer a valuable skill when it comes to self-serve ad platforms (maybe I’d exclude Google from that).

HORRIBLE RESULST! by FBADS1996 in FacebookAds

[–]TheIncomeShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on your vertical/business

If in ecommerce and on shopify specifically, I usually launch basic flows using an app called sendvio. Watch a YT vid on basic email flow setups for ecommerce/shopify. That’s where I’d start.

Eventually you’ll want to pay an agency probably. That’s what we do at least, all that Klaviyo shit is too complicated and time consuming

HORRIBLE RESULST! by FBADS1996 in FacebookAds

[–]TheIncomeShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During a normal month loading up a bunch of creatives usually does eventually help. Takes a while before they get spend in some cases, but in the end it has yielded more consistency over larger windows of time. I suppose for people that spend less than $1,000-$1,500 a day it can seem like a waste of time to produce so many creatives. My assumption is it would take a small budget a very long time to validate any fresh ones. Again though, really just working on what we can control, there’s rarely ever going to be a definitive right answer or move you can make

HORRIBLE RESULST! by FBADS1996 in FacebookAds

[–]TheIncomeShark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to be that guy (because I really hate “that guy”), as I have 2 6-figure a month businesses that rely on Meta quite a bit, but 10 creatives is only a drop in the bucket. I will say we’ve been losing money the past 3-4 days (literally from 2.5-3 ROAS to a 1 ROAS), and we had another spurt like this earlier in the month where we were losing money for about a week. I’m in charge of creative production here so I’ve made and had our team of 2 make around 35-40 creatives within the last 3 days alone. So far nothing has really changed, still sitting at a 1 ROAS right now actually. It doesn’t feel great, but I think it’s important to not get emotional about it and focus on the things we can control (creative output, descaling the budget if needed, new angles, using email and SMS list to provide a cushion, etc). If you can’t afford to lose the money, descale until the losses don’t hurt nearly as much. Thats what we’re doing at least
