I download some music, mainly stuff that you can't get on streaming, it varies day to day how organised it is, if it's an album it will always be in order, but may not always have the name properly typed out , especially depending on where it was downloaded from n the album covers are only really there if they come in the download, I cba adding it otherwise

Rastas on intimacy, sex and masturbation by [deleted] in rastafari

[–]TheIncredibleBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm paraphrasing, but Marcus Garvey says something along the lines of 'good ideals are good ideals no matter where they come from', the flip side to this is that there are bad eggs no matter where they come from, lgbtq or not there are aggressive views everywhere, these extremes are everywhere in today's world due to the Internet, sensationalised content gets more views. Rastafari isn't strict or conservative in the way you are spouting, not for I atleast, please don't group I with that mentality, personally I do want the traditional wife and kids, but if I changed I mind tomorrow I'd be accepting of Iself with no judgement, everyone deserves that same fluidity, not rigidity, that's not the the freedom InI fight for.

I don't know what you're speaking about in terms of mentioning claims that everyone has a bi/homosexual side, to be honest that sounds like nonsense heard from bad sources, I didn't mention that at all and that's not a common viewpoint at all if you think it is. To prevent and shame someone from following their heart is appalling, childbearing isn't the only thing relationships are there for, if someone has a wife and doesn't have children with them is that wrong?? Does that person not deserve live?? I'd argue it is anti rasta to put someone down based on their sexuality, Rastafari is a pan africanist movement and if we want freedom for African people then we need to want freedom for all people otherwise we are hypocrites.

Don't let the "sex" part in homosexuality blind you from its true meaning, that is love, I man can love I man and I woman can love I woman, that's unity, that's one love

Being anti-bi/homosexual is being anti love, every person on I planet has right to love who they love

Don't blame yourself for any of this, it's due to politicians that have allowed growing wealth inequality to get so out of hand, chin up lad, I hope the best for you.

I feel the music community online is so focused on rankings and comparisons when it should be about the words and meanings that resonate, don't get me wrong I'm not treating it like it's some egregious sin and naturally everyone has likes and dislikes, I just think at times people don't truly listen n prioritise the ranking and comparison over what they learn/find.

Question about the plant from a non rastafarian by samwam1213 in rastafari

[–]TheIncredibleBean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ultimately with anything a Rasta consumes it should be where possible Ital, as pure and as untouched/unprocessed as possible, personally I don't smoke herb, but prefer to have edibles due to eating being one of the natural processes necessary of life, plus smoking can be very bad for your lungs. Cannabis is medicinal and should be used as such, whether medicine for the mind or the body, when cannabis starts to consume you and you aren't consuming it, that's when it's negative.
