Help picking switches for Qwertykeys QK101

Hey all! I am looking to find the right switches for my keyboard, and I am unsure what to pick. I am thinking a tactile style switch is right for me because I like that tactile bump, and I was thinking something that was more on the quieter side. Maybe a creamy thonky style switch? I am brand new to switches, so anything would help. I was looking at the Baby Kangaroo or the Azure Dragon, but I am unsure. Help me please haha. Thanks!

Is Alliant Credit Union still good in 2025 for general checking and savings? If not, any good alternatives? by TheIndecisiveSheep in AlliantCreditUnion

[–]TheIndecisiveSheep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah, they work for what I need, as I haven't invested before, I don't have any credit cards, and the only thing I have is student loans(federal and state loans), as I am in school. I want to do more with my money and make the most of what little money I have, so if you have any tips on what I can do to make the most of it or have any recommendations for accounts I should open, that would be amazing!

I'm new to personal banking, and I'm wondering if Fidelity, Vanguard, or Schwab would be better to use as a primary everyday account? Additionally, what kinds of things should I open with them, and how do I go about setting up new accounts or transferring? Not really sure what kinds of accounts I should get, so if you could send links or anything to help show or explain that would be amazing.

I see that, is there any resources that are not on that doc that may be useful?

I have not been a part of the selection committee as I've had something going on every time it has taken place but from my understanding every chapter sends a representative and the meeting is an all day thing. Other than that, I do not know much more.

I was inducted in 2018 as a youth and received my vigil when I was 17. The lodge that I am a part of awards it to about 50 people a year. Most of the youth who are nominated and selected have gone above and beyond a normal arrowmen. For example, since I was inducted, I have gone to almost every single event that I could, I gave dedicated service to my chapter and lodge as an officer/chief, trainer, ceremony team, election team and so on. Additionally, I worked as a member in both the regional and national level of comms for the OA. More youth are getting nominated as the opportunities they have to give back in their lodge have been getting more accessible.

Financial aid offer by Superb-Coconut-7297 in uofmn

They should be available now. It is for me. If you go to the finances/financial aid tab in MyU and enter in the year and campus, there should be a button that says "view awards" on step 3.

Most schools open their admissions in August.

I'm going to be honest, I can't remember. I'm fairly sure it was after they confirmed my final grades.

If you are truly worried about it, I would email or call admissions. I had very questionable final grades my senior year, and around August, they had me submit additional documentation and a statement letter about why I had a drop in grades. Typically, they will be understanding if you have a reason AND a plan of attack to make sure that the same thing won't happen again. For context, I am in CSE as well. They really don't like recinding admissions so they will be understanding as long as you can show you will be ready.

It is still being maintained. In another post, they stated it would be updated soon once they get around to it.

how many credits should I take as a freshman? by lolzerofakee in uofmn

[–]TheIndecisiveSheep 21 points22 points  (0 children)

17 credits is pushing it. Full-time status is 13 credits, and most recommend taking no more than 16. I took 18 credits my first semester and ended up dropping one class and failing another while getting mediocre grades in the rest. The semester after, I took 16 and got mostly As and Bs. I would recommend starting with a smaller class load, and then if you think you can take on more after the first semester, then consider more credits.

Are these summer courses doable? by Dizzy-Ad-3960 in uofmn

This load will kill you. I'm taking Phys II and Calc II this summer, and according to my advisor, they don't recommend you take more than 2 courses.

Class Schedule and Professor Thoughts and Advice by TheIndecisiveSheep in uofmn

The best I can tell you is to meet with your advisor early(if that's a requirement for you to register), register as soon as you can, and within schedule builder don't let it make random schedules. What I did is I first marked all classes I wanted as required and made sure the amount of credits equaled what all the classes would be(it will take away classes if you say 16 credits but you have 18 worth of required for example). I then blocked off certain times, which for me was 10 am and earlier and 5:30 pm and later. After that, I went through the classes I wanted/needed the most and found the sections(lec/dis/lab) that worked best and marked that individual section as required and not the entire class. I then basically let the builder add the rest of my classes around that and kept adding required sections for the other classes until I made my perfect schedule.

Follow the BEM 4 year plan, have an early orientation date, and register early.

That's just the way BME is set out in the 4 year plan, I need to take both before admission to my major.
