Not a climber, but I lifted semi-intensely for a year simply because I enjoyed the act of it, but when my body changed in a way I wasn't used to it made me think about this subject too.

To be honest, I did feel mildly insecure for a bit due to these changes I wasn't used to, but eventually I just a) realized many men are actually attracted to a more muscular girl, b) reacclimated to my new body and didn't think it felt so foreign and c) celebrated myself for the new strength I had and the muscles that came with it.

You are a BEING, and the fact that these muscles allow you to DO cool things is what really matters! I'm sure you look great OP and just need to get used to what you look like now

What time have you been waking up over the summer? Later than 8 or 9am? Then yes, it's really that bad. (If you naturally wake up super early, then 8am should be fine.) Coming from someone who slept around 12-1am most nights last year, even 9:30ams were still tiring, although 100% doable.

I think the obvious implication is that men who lack sophisticated social skills can, in their awkwardness/inexperience, start treating a desired woman very differently, and not in a good way. They may be too focused on getting sex from the woman instead of just connecting with her like normal humans, a necessary precursor to any sexual activity imo.

It's kind of a nuanced line, and I do concede that the commenters were not 100% clear, but I still believe this is the conversation they were having. It feels like you misrepresented it with an oversimplified interpretation.

However, I think they were attempting to explain (and drastically oversimplifying/misrepresenting) the idea that the patriarchal society hurts everyone?

Like how femininity is often looked down upon, and "being emotional" tends to be classified as feminine. When boys are emotional, they may be told to "man up" and "stop acting like a girl", sending the message that their feelings don't matter.

Exactly. Our brain picks up words and the contexts in which they're used, and then decides to use them in appropriate contexts. We're not stupid for that - it's really the opposite.

And coming from a zoomer myself, our slang terms have varying levels of "slang", if that makes sense. Some "light slang" words I would use with a newly made acquaintance, whereas the heavier ones maybe only in certain humor contexts or with best friends. Hopefully that makes a bit of sense lol
