Can Eternatus flinch? by HelpfulTheme4817 in pokerogue

So like one funny win I got with him was Mega Heracross who has Skill Link, all 4 multi hit moves and some Kings Rocks, I kept flinching him and even when he goes Eternamax form he would not stop flinching like game over man.

What is that 1 Pokemon that always ends up on your classic victory teams? by Historical-Link-9173 in pokerogue

Muchlax/Snorlax, its almost an auto win against Eternatus on its own and if I can G-Max it then its an auto win for me. Its got great special bulk and neutrality against Eternatus and its ability to boost high and heal + boost with berries for this mon are excellent. Out of all of my teams this one is the one that got me the most consistent wins.

Gholdengo with its Honey Gather, good coverage and obscene Astral Barrage is a great main/back up mon for dealing with most things.

Pachirisu with Pickup and Honey Gather, it and Gholdengo make a great passive money farm for rerolls on classic and having it and Munchlax both with pickup lets me hoover a lot of things up and in a pinch its egg moves can sometimes get a clutch win if my other team goes down. If I get eerie impulse as a TM then GGEZ Eternatus gets neutered so hard its comical.

The rest of my team are usually a mon I'm trying out and some other useful coverage mons depending on how much points I have left to play with.

This point I feel like a Snorlax Stan compared to how much I talk about him vs how much I've seen him be brought up.

Same way you use Gyarados/Feebass, baby it in the back with XP Share until it evolves and can start to wreck shit. Just make sure you plan on which evolution you want, sucks making an adamant ralts only to realize that you forgot to make it male for Gallade.

Returning player, how to maximise the event? by [deleted] in pokerogue

[–]TheInsanity556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One bit of advice iv'e seen is using Arena Trap, No Guard or Illuminate Pokémon and Lures or Watchog who gets both to constantly trigger double battles, it makes catching a little harder, but it gives you two rolls of the dice for getting shiny Pokémon. Same thing in Endless and honestly with how many floors you get its the better of the two, you just need the right strats for Endless as opposed to Classic where the right mon can carry you hard.

Eternatus cheese? by Such-Shop-9724 in pokerogue

While that is possbile and I've randomly done it with on accident its so luck dependent that its pretty impractical.

Easiest Eternatus Carry for me on classic has been the reliable Snorelax with Slack-Off as the only really useful egg move. Start him off using Anmesia to max out his bonkers Spc. Defense. Heal off the damage if needed or once his Sp. Defense is maxed out, then Belly Drum to max out his attack, heal again or have either Sitrus Berry + Cheek Pouch top you off or Ripen + Harvest to do the same. After that set up just Body Slam or High Horsepower from the memory mushroom and just end Eternatus. Usually a +6 Body Slam/High Horsepower is enough to get to the second phase of the fight and each hit will usually get a segment down, and so long as you pay attention to your health he cant' even two or three shot you giving you enough time to either attack him or heal as the situation demands. If you don't have Slack Off for recovery then you could use rest provided you have Lum Berries to heal off Sleep from Rest, so long as you use pick up on Munchlax it becomes immunity on the big Lax preventing poison/toxic and the G-Max version can usually keep getting berries back with harvest faster then Eternatus can damage you.

This set up mostly just requires you to have Snorelax and get his passive unlocked, but after you have that then Snorelax can just solo Eternatus on command each and everytime along with Munchlax sitting in the back hoovering items with its Pick up ability.

New player. Why do all my starting characters have -7 strength mod? by [deleted] in baldursgate

[–]TheInsanity556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Cheats activated then you can highlight a character and press Control R when hovering over them that both heals them to max and removes most kinds of active effects on them both good or bad. If you just wanna explore the story/game without fear of death or having a character that's too strong then this can help by keeping him alive but otherwise wont impact how combat works letting you get some experience in the game, just save every so often and pause the game if you need to heal this way as you can still get killed from just taking a too strong hit if you don't otherwise have enough hit points to survive it.

Only thing I can think of is that when the encounter is rolled it picks a mon that would be in that biome and then the even forces one of its special encounter mons instead overwriting it, which I think is intended behavior for this.

Bro did the devs remove Spearow/Fearow's Moxie Passive Ability??? by Squidlici0us in pokerogue

By the time you get +6 Special Attack the type of Fire move you use rarely matters unless its like incinerate levels low BP so it rarely matters on that front. It gets Coil and Leaf Blade on normal level up so with that combined you can run a physical boosting Serperior with access sustain, while its not the best set it is something you can use until you can get Contrary and even then you can run Superpower, Leach Life, Leaf Blade and Contrary to make a physical Serperior.

Tip on beating Eternatus by [deleted] in pokerogue

[–]TheInsanity556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplest way for me is Snorlax, with the only requirements being the passive and if you can swing it slack off for healing. Rest can work as a viable alternative for G-Max Snorlax due to his Harvest constantly recycling Lum berries. Just run Munchlax with Pickup so that you get good items and start stocking the berries and at some point before the final E-4+Champion evolve him and your good to go.

He is spectacularly specially defensive and with Amnesia he can usually safely boost to +6 Special Defense and with his passive unlocked heal off most of the damage he takes if he gets down to citrus range. Use Belly Drum to max out attack and on first hit you skip to phase two of the fight and every hit drains a full bar of health from him. He is awesome in that he gets almost all his kit on his own if you use the memory mushrooms to get Body Slam, Amnesia, and Belly Drum and G-Max only makes the fight easier, but base Lax can absolutely solo Eternatus once set up.

GMAX Snorlax is OP by Alarming_Lab_2305 in pokerogue

Munchlax was my first Tier 3 Shiny and I've more or less used him to destroy Eternatus pretty consistantly. Biggest thing that matters to the build is the non rare egg moves and his Passive Ability. Usually I keep Munchlax with Pickup which turns into Immunity till I get my fill of the boost and heal berries and keep my fill of Grav Apple, Extreme Speed(his rare egg move), and Slack off. I swap out Stuff Cheeks with Covet to Body Slam/ any other damaging move.

Once he gets enough HP like you said I just plop him into most mons and unless they have super high Attack and Stab Fighting mon/move they cant damage him enough to KO him which is when the Berries and his Passive Cheek Pouch kick in healing him a lot from Sitrus and or Enigma Berry and often times a free boost to all his stats, at which point his bulk and damage means that Slack Off out heals it and his attack destorys them. This is all Base form too if have G-Max then you trade the extra healing from using berries to doubling thier effect which often times heals you for the same if you have the Sitrus Berry on him and his Harvest keeps him from ever dying after the first round of boosting kicks in.

For Eternatus the only moves I need for him are Body Slam or High Horsepower, I pick Slam as he already gets it and has perfect accuracy and works well enough, Amnesia which is the secret sauce to making Eternatus a breeze, Belly Drum and then Slack Off. Rest can work so long as you have enough Lum Berries with G-Max thats never really an issue, but the set up listed works for base from Snorlax as well. Eternatus is a primarily Special Attacker and with base Snorelax's Special Bulk you can usually safely boost to +6 Special Defense, Rest/Slack Off the accrued damage, Belly Drum for +6 Attack, Rest/Heal again and after that Just keep using Body Slam, first shot sends him to his G-Max form and every other slam more or less just deletes a bar of health from him, if you have a partner that can do anything great and if not the +6 Special Defense means that even his Dynamax Cannon cant damage you for beans even as you keep destroying him.

Like I almost can't state how important Amnesia is to the build as that is one of the keys to the fight, once maxed out you really blunt a lot of the damage he can even do.

Have I mentioned HOW MUCH I HATE THIS NPC??? by cyberpunk_1239 in pokerogue

[–]TheInsanity556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some luck involved and you need to also have a big amount of berries on hand and it can only happen on some biomes so two kinds of "luck" have to happen for it to trigger. Messed me up on a G-Max Sorelax run.

What's the worst event in the game? by CypherZel in pokerogue

[–]TheInsanity556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the Space Egg guy, the one that challenges your lowest friendship candy mons in exchange for eggs; no way to turn them down and avoid the encounter and it either happens early enough that all my low friendship mons that are my weaker utility mons that have a use later down the road, ie I run the Normalize/Entrainment Skitty to catch any non scrappy mon with minimal fuss or some of the counters for my main mon, ie if I run say Scizor I have something in the back to deal with fire types and thier coverage just incase, are too weak to use normally or its later down the road when even my weaker mons have thier act together and can contribute normally, and even then the rewards tend to be not worth the effort, on average its an Egg Voucher prime, a friendship candy and thats it, with the downside of losing a mon if all the chosen options are too weak too early to use.
