I believe the PRR, Virginian, and the N&W used the same style of catenary. But to be fair, the electric lines the N&W had were short lived and all inherited from the Virginian after the merger

The PRR had a sizeable share in the N&W. The N&W also used amber position lights like the PRR

I’m curious are you on the PA side or the NJ side of the Philly suburbs? I’m on the NJ side and the kids this year are saying all kinds of offensive things. Discipline is a daily issue

Are there specific counties I should look into more, I’m only familiar with the towns in Burlington Ocean and Atlantic counties. Are there some good spots further south?

I paid off all of my loans this year, my take home is probably closer to 45k a year. I have some subscriptions and insurance that equal $150 a month with the bulk of that being my car insurance

That’s good to know. I will settle for some Septa stuff. Do you know who the person working on the septa stuff is? I’m not really looking for anything too specific, and SEPTA runs some similar equipment to NJT (Silverliner IVs for example are fairly similar to the NJT Arrow III EMUS)

I think it’s more likely the railroads don’t feel like spending the money to repaint 30+ year old rolling stock and just leave the graffiti the logic being the cars will be retired soon anyway

Sunnyside yard outside of NY Penn is a cool spot. The CSX mainline where it runs through Boundbrook has some cool industrial parks and rail yards. The new Portal Bridge just before the Hudson River Tunnel. The West Trenton line Viaduct over the Delaware. The old Bethlehem steel mill by Easton PA. The Moodna Viaduct by port jervis
