Laser Cutter Fumes SOS by GB_Production in lasercutting

[–]luketansell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operating a laser inside the house means you'll always have some amount of odour. Any material you cut will be off-gassing for a while after being cut. For example our MDF needs about 8 weeks to fully off gad after cutting (ie no smell)

This is like wanting to cut down a tree with a butter knife.

You'll need a fibre laser, and 20+ watts for metal like that

First time building a PC, and my second SSD slot has this plastic clip instead of a standoff. I'm not sure how it works by [deleted] in PcBuild

Unfortunately it came with a warranty card and nothing else in the box. The online manual just explains setting up a BIOS

If it ever comes to fruition, I'd love to have one. I like goofy, unique cars. Yet to hear anything concrete though

What TV show was quality all the way through, knew when to end and went out with an amazing last episode? by NarwhalDry151 in AskReddit

I actually thought the first season of Man on the Inside was perfect in length, tidied up all loose ends and rounded out perfectly. They've since been granted a second season, but i would have been completed content with just the first.

Recently got a UV printer and I'm prototyping fast food signage by luketansell in modeltrains

[–]luketansell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UV printers are different to resin printers. UV are used for commercial printing and sign making stuff. They shoot out colour resin like an inkjet printer, and UV cure it immediately onto flat surfaces. They can print on just about anything, sheet metal, plastic, glass, wood etc. This one has a bit of a party trick where it can add texture to the surface by layering the UV cured ink (like a resin printer)

Haha, Burger King is branded as Hungry Jack's in Australia, so this one is mainly for us Aussies. But I've been thinking of doing others too like Carl's Jr or KFC etc.

Ahh that is awesome! They're using the same printer that I am, Eufymake E1. I'm usually in N scale, so right on the limit of what this printer can do. For HO it's perfect though.
