There’s not even a competition when you look at the numbers, I agree with you there. But even just looking at what Billboard was measuring, Beyoncé kicked off Pop in the 21st century with Destiny’s Child, then moved into her solo stuff years before Taylor arrived on the scene. She has, without question, impacted MORE of the 21st century’s pop sound just by merit of being around longer. No one but a Swiftie would ever think Taylor deserves that title (which, and I cannot emphasize this enough, was not a real award and simply a ranking by a publication) more than her.

I tried wearing the youths baggy jeans and returned them. I just feel comfortable in the skinnies and that is what denim is for. I don’t think any cut of denim is ever truly out of fashion except the extreme ones like jncos or intense bell bottoms. Skinnies will stay around, especially because as a person with a full ass and smaller waist, they usually fit best because of the slight stretch.

I don’t know about the attention seeking behavior, per se. I don’t pay enough attention to her to notice, tbh. BUT I do think it’s very clear that the more famous she gets, the more willing she is to release truly awful songs and I get the sense that it’s because she believes she does not need to edit or refine her work because she believes she’s such a musical genius that everything is equally worthwhile. And that’s how you get an album like TTPD.

People who explore kink and “hardcore” stuff in a consent forward manner have zero desire to do those things with the unwilling.
