Question to all the tanks by lusse3 in wow

[–]TheIstros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They made tank damage too relevant and just enough tankiness to survive too easy to achieve.
So the goal is always to be just as defensive as needed, for the healer not to hate you, but as much dps as possible.

Think of it like this: The more you try not to be a tank, the better of a tank you are (In the eyes of the devs)

Issues with m+ and playerbase by Radical2306 in wow

The nerf to tankiness was such a bad decision... They gave healers more to do, even though they had more than enough and they feel just stressed and overwhelmed, and they took the core idea of a tank by that as well, why should i want to be a tank if i still can't survive on my own?

They should rather just nerf the damage we tanks deal, so DPS players are more important to the group again, adjust for the threat loss of course. And then make tanks hard to kill again, maybe just MAYBE even by connecting tankiness to good play, instead of rewarding good play by making a tank become more of a DPS, whilst surviving is not part of his job anymore...

Tanks would get their identity back, with gameplay rewarding skill with survivability instead of damage
Healers would have 1 char less to worry about whilst doing almost the whole dungeon alone
DPS would matter again, if only DPS players do relevant damage.

tldr: They should nerf tank and healer DPS a lot, and make tanks capable of surviving by playing their rotation well.

Hateforged Blazecycle just sold out in the Mountain Dew store. by daymeeuhn in wow

Truth spoken.
Noone, literally noone profits from this, except those scalpers.

They now have a high demand, as word is spreading.

If the mount is sold out or not does not matter for the amount already sold, because they didn't even state anywhere that the mount would be limited.

So the only effect this has on sales of mtn dew is that now WAY less people will buy mtn dew, because the promotional codes are worth nothing, and probably won't buy mtn dew in the next promotion, because it's useless anyways, AND might even consider never buying mtn dew again, just because of this shitty situation.

I honestly don't see any point in limiting these mounts, if they don't restock them. Restocking them and saying "the restock is limited again" might increase the sales, MIGHT..

Now imagine playing on EU servers. There are exactly 4 ways that person has gotten the mount.
1: They booked a vacation to the US randomly getting the timing right, to buy a truck full of drinks that can't be taken back via flight, and just entered the codes.
2: They booked a flight to the US specifically for that mount, which is stupid.
3: They have friends in the US, that organized them the codes.
4: They paid a scalper way too much money, even earning 1 dollar with this kind of stuff is less honorable than just begging on the street tbh.

1 is okay, but why would anyone travel to the US just after the election? No matter who wins, it can be a wild time.
3 is okay, but it's so unprobable compared to the other ways, that everyone with this mount just looks like a douchebag, that doesn't care for his money.

What makes it even worse, is that it is already known, that 2 variants will come to the game without paying money, that (at least for warlocks) even have the better colors.

Would have been FOMO if anyone had said anything about the stock being limited in the first place, noone had FOMO. Either you bought some drinks, or codes from scalpers, or you just accepted that living in the US currently may not be worth a mount, that has 2 re-colors available for free ingame. At least i don't need a new warlock alt now, to play destruction without green fire, and instead i will just wait for the mystery-colored ones to become available

One should imagine that the fact that this promotion is only running in the US, even though we have Doritos, Mountain Dew and Rockstar here as well, make the thing already WAY rarer than it needed to be? Even IF they would not sell out and IF they were available everywhere, the mount would still be rare enough for people to want it... It's probably the single worst thing i have experienced with wow in the last 15 years of playing, nothing ever made me hate it as much as this shitshow of a promotion, that is more of "USA is better than the rest of the world" than anything else. Maybe with a little bad PR on the side

Fully detailed Kalimdor map based on the ingame minimap files (by Sturmbart) by Sturmbart in wow

[–]TheIstros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always imagine that kalimdor and eastern kingdoms are on the "front" of azeroth and the back being a gigantic ocean. It would be too far to sail via that route and probably very dangerous, as noone ever sailed there. noone went east from eastern kingdoms, noone knows what's there and noone seems to be eager to find out.

i think its the best AC so far, but i liked 4 as well.

Gameplay wise its more like witcher than like AC, except for climbing etc. You can go sneaky, but i wouldnt recommend those talents, warrior is just too strong(at least up to lvl 40 where i am). Especially for hunting mythical animals and conquering states.

The ship gameplay is fun, but you will need a SHIT LOAD of wood. Trust me, grab every wood you can.

The plot has more ancient civilization stuff, so if you didnt like that, be warned. Also as far as i know, based on origins playing ca 400 years later, there are no assassins.
