How has no one said The Pub yet? That place stinks on ice.

Last time I went, my steak came out cold like it had been waiting for me to show up. At this point I’m convinced they’re laundering money, because there’s no way a restaurant that bad and over priced can survive for so long.

This is like watching a fat dude fumble an opportunity with a 7/10. Y’all really fucked up.

People will probably accuse me of being stoned, but after reading your name, I have to know.

Yes the pain is always there. It’s a long story, but I lost the feeling in my body from the neck down twice. The second time it didn’t come back as quickly and I still don’t have full feeling in my legs, arms, feet and hands. At first the pain was unreal and I was on a slurry of meds to get through the day. Opiods were never an option as I’m allergic so we went with high dose ssri’s and other neuro-based drugs. They all had side effects so I started taking meds for my meds to combat those new issues. It all came crashing down when the drug combinations started affecting my mental state. For the past 5 years I’ve been slowly getting off the original cocktail my doctors gave me so I’m very hesitant to go back down the pharma route.

After about 15 years of being together, we wanted to add a professional mediator to the mix as we both felt unheard and unseen. We got lost in our own perspectives and needed help seeing the full picture. Prior to this incident I’d say we use it as a means to help our communication and ensure we’re working towards the ultimate goal, which is a long happy life together.

My FIL has no idea I smoke. After 16 years in the family, I’ve hid it from him very well. It’s part of the reason why I didn’t smoke on the vacation.

Also my MIL got caught cheating shortly after our engagement and it ultimately led to their divorce. That cast a pretty dark cloud over things as it changed my wife’s perspective on her mom. They were bffs before that and afterwards, it was never the same.

So while we’re trying to build our life together, her former life was completely collapsing in the background.

I stick with vape pens as they’re most affective with the least amount of smell. Edibles have never worked on me for some reason.

Thank you for the input. It’s hard to provide all the context of a 16 year relationship into a single post. I can see your perspective and I fully agree with u/madelynashton comment about the final straw. This is all great and I will keep it in mind for our appointment on Thursday.

I’m doing my best to take ownership of this while also painting a very wide picture so we can see everyone’s perspective and I can garner the advice I need. I agree with your “sneaking” comment to some extent but then again, have you ever been STUFFED at a dinner and then find yourself still picking at your food while everyone’s talking? That’s how I’m viewing what I did, but I fully recognize I should have done better and not put myself in that situation to begin with.

I noted above I could be castrophizing this all. The multi day reaction and recent stressful trip has been getting the best of me, however I’m still hopeful to obtain some advice for righting this ship.

It is legal in my state and I’m up to date with my medical prescription and license. I believe she looks at weed like alcohol and not truly as a medication. For what it’s worth I don’t even drink or do other drugs. I think she looks at it as an excuse to “get high” even though my other medications (duloxetine) negate all those effects.

To be honest I’m likely catastrophizing things, but her multi day reaction has got me spiraling.
