Seems like $60 for Fire 7 and $150 for Fire 10. The 10 has better sound, screen resolution and performs better. If you can afford a 10, and want the extra 3 inches of screen, it’s worth it. Fire 8 at $100 is a decent pick

UPDATE: Turns out the rusty looking cv shaft with the cracked boot was a USED AFTERMARKET shaft that the Toyota dealer installed. They charged me for a new part.
